<p><strong>Location:</strong> Mount Carmel Catholic College, Varroville</p><p>Mount Carmel Catholic College is a systemic co-educational secondary college located in the Macarthur region. Founded in 1986 on a proud Marist tradition, it is comprehensive in its approach and has a student population of approximately 1100 and a staff of 110. With an enviable academic record for our graduate students, Mount Carmel values excellence as more than an just an aspirational goal. All in the Mount Carmel community are expected to achieve their best, guided by the College motto: "Ite In Veritate" (Walk in Truth).</p><p>A permanent full time position commencing 31 January 2025. The successful applicant will be required to lead a professional team to support and meet the pastoral and well-being needs of a year group.</p><p>The role of Middle Leader exists to support the principal in implementing the vision and mission of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students and assist the school leadership team in the conduct and organisation of the school.</p><p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p><p>The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:</p><ul><li>A deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li><li>A commitment to promoting and embedding the school’s values in pastoral programs and practices.</li><li>A strong understanding of contemporary approaches to student well-being and management.</li><li>The demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and work collaboratively with staff.</li><li>The demonstrated ability to support students with challenging behaviours.</li><li>The demonstrated ability to build a positive learning culture of high expectations for all with an emphasis on differentiated learning to meet the holistic needs of all students.</li><li>The ability to use data to discern the individual needs of students and be able to source appropriate support.</li></ul><p>The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:</p><ul><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li><li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Strong administrative and organisational skills.</li></ul><p>QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching.</li><li>Appropriate additional qualifications or experience in a relevant area.</li><li>Level C Accreditation aligned&nbsp; in accordance with ‘Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong’&nbsp; policy or a commitment to gain within the first contractual period.</li><li>NESA Accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above.</li></ul><p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p><p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p><p>POSITION APPLICATION&nbsp;</p><p>Applicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p><p>To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p><p><strong>Closing date: 19 September 2024 at 9am</strong></p>
