Loreto Toorak is seeking a passionate and experienced teacher to join our dedicated team to teach STEM/IT across Year 7 to Year 10.  This opportunity is offered as a 12 month fixed term, commencing Term 1 2025.  Applicants seeking full time or part time (minimum 0.6 FTE) will be considered.

It is expected that all subject teachers have a broad and deep understanding of their subject specific content.</p><p>Responsibilities of the role will include:</p><ul><li>Help to develop a stimulating learning environment by using a variety of styles and approaches to cater for individual learning needs</li><li>Utilise appropriate pedagogical practices to expand the growth of individual students across academic, spiritual and emotional fields</li><li>Employ a variety of strategies to effectively implement the curriculum</li><li>Actively participate and engage in the School’s pastoral care system which reflects Loreto values</li><li>Implement strategies and expectations which promote a positive learning environment</li><li>Provide students with a child-safe environment</li><li>Assist with curriculum development in collaboration with colleagues and Head of Faculty</li><li>Participate actively in all aspects of school life beyond the classroom including sport, wellbeing and/or cultural activities</li></ul><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have:</p><ul><li>Current Teaching Registration (Victorian Institute of Teaching)</li><li>Proven expertise and knowledge in teaching STEM/IT subjects from Year 7 to Year 10</li><li>An ability to teach VCE IT/STEM would be highly regarded</li><li>A collaborative approach with colleagues in planning and delivering curriculum</li><li>Proven experience in establishing and fostering relationships with students, staff and parents</li><li>Excellent time management and organisational skills</li><li>Demonstrated desire to apply a growth mindset to professional development</li></ul><p><strong>Why work at Loreto Toorak?</strong></p><p>Joining Loreto Toorak means joining a supportive, inclusive and collaborative community.
