<p><strong>ST VINCENT’S COLLEGE</strong></p><p><strong>HSIE TEACHER</strong></p><p><strong>Position to start Term 1 2025</strong></p><p><strong>Closing Date for Applications: Monday, 23 September 2024</strong></p><p>St Vincent’s College is seeking to appoint a committed, professional and enthusiastic full time, permanent teacher qualified to teach HSIE subjects across Years 7 to 12.</p><p>The successful applicant will have a commitment to education and transformative learning in the classroom. They will demonstrate pleasure in classroom teaching of students across a range of ability levels and the ability to work cooperatively with a committed and enthusiastic department. They will have a desire to engage in pedagogical innovation and in integrating evidence-based practices in the classroom. Strong communication skills and a commitment to growth focused learning for young women is necessary. We are seeking a teacher willing to learn and grow alongside their students and colleagues.</p><p><strong>Key position criteria</strong></p><ul><li>Qualifications for and/or experience as a classroom HSIE (Geography and History) teacher.</li><li>Ability to teach Stage 6 in at least one or more HSIE subjects (History, Business, Legal, SAC) would be an advantage.</li><li>Develop and implement engaging learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students</li><li>Intelligent understanding of the connection between emotional and educational growth and willingness to support shared principles and practices in maintaining safe, inclusive and productive learning environments.</li><li>A commitment to promoting a culture of growth and achievement in the classroom by modelling a genuine passion for learning.</li><li>Collaborative teaching and work practices. Strong communication skills, effective record keeping and ability to manage workflow and demands.</li><li>An ongoing commitment to personal and professional growth.</li><li>A current Working with Children Check, and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare, and well-being of young people.</li></ul>
