<p><strong>About the school</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">St Clare's College is at the forefront of education when it comes to innovation in teaching and learning. We are excited to offer an opportunity for an </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">experienced Business Manager to join the St Clare's College team and support the future focused learning vision of the College. The position will commence on 9 October 2024. This is a full time permanent position with 4 weeks annual leave.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>About the role</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Reporting directly to the Principal, the Operations Manager role holds a significant position in the school and supports the delivery of quality learning and teaching within a Catholic school context through effective facilities, business and financial management.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The role also shares responsibility for leadership of the school's vision, mission and strategic initiatives and contributes to the life and management of the school. The Operations Manager has the main responsibility of supporting the Principal in managing all areas of property and facility management and development, finance, business administration, procurement and resource management. The ideal applicant has leadership experience and a strong facilities management, procurement and financial background.</span></p>

<p><strong>The successful applicant will perform tasks that include, but are not limited to:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Facilities</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">: coordinating maintenance and repairs, efficiently managing budgeted building and refurbishment projects to ensure high-quality outcomes and necessary risk mitigation, management of school cleaning and security. </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>WHS:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> overseeing Work Health & Safety (WHS) management and compliance.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Procurement</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">: management of school contracts and end-to-end management of agreements as required, including tender preparation, analysis and briefing papers. </span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Financial</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">: manage day-to-day accounting procedures, financial management and strategic development in an educational setting, which include preparation and presentation of monthly reports, asset management, project accounting and budgeting, risk management, budget preparation and management and preparation of financial statements.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Debt</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">: debt management and debt recovery strategies in line with SCS' policies, procedures and values.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Other duties:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"> as directed by the Principal.</span></li>
</ul>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">an ability to work in a collaborative environment as a member of an executive team and to manage a cohesive support team</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">a commitment to Catholic Education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support the faith formation of students.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Your qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Qualifications in Business, Finance, Project Management or Facilities Management are highly desired.</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience in Business, Finance, Project Management or Facilities Management are essential. </span></li>
