Frensham is seeking a full-time Design and Technology (TAS) Teacher, commencing Term 1 2025, with experience working with computer-aided design and manufacture techniques, to join our academic staff and to inspire our students through dynamic classroom practice, refined professional knowledge and a commitment to high performance.

They are taught to value kindness, resilience, empathy and compassion, and to carry these attributes with them for life, alongside the School’s core values.</p><p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><p>Frensham is seeking a full-time <strong>Design and Technology (TAS) Teacher</strong>, with experience working with computer-aided design and manufacture techniques, to join our academic staff and to inspire our students through dynamic classroom practice, refined professional knowledge and a commitment to high performance. </p><p>Frensham has a thriving programme and a history of outstanding results and performance. </p><p>We are looking for an outstanding TAS Teacher, with expertise in CAD/CAM techniques, programming and the capacity to work with resistant materials in innovative and creative ways across 7-12 TAS and STEM courses. </p><p>The position would suit:</p><ul><li>Experienced teachers with proven success in teaching at all levels, and keenness to join outstanding colleagues and highly motivated students in Australia’s leading boarding school for girls, or</li><li>Recent graduates with proven ability to meet the goals of the faculty over time.</li></ul><p>They will be a passionate, inspirational and energetic classroom teacher with the proven ability to improve student learning outcomes. </p><p>All teaching staff are committed to a professional learning program focused on improvement in professional practice as part of a school-wide pursuit of excellence in teaching.</p><p><strong>Role Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in classroom teaching or working as a TAS teacher (Design and Technology).</li><li>Understanding of contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies.</li><li>A commitment to Pastoral Care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students. </li><li>An ability to challenge students to work creatively, develop authentic and engaging projects. </li><li>An understanding of and commitment to the educational needs of young women.  </li><li>A commitment to collaborative teaching practices and an ability to contribute to a team and faculty of professional educators. </li><li>An ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement beyond the classroom. </li></ul><p><strong>Education and Experience </strong></p><ul><li>Qualifications and experience teaching DAT/TAS 7-12. </li><li>Demonstrated experience working with resistant materials. </li><li>Experience using workshop tools, 3D printers, laser cutters and emerging technologies.</li><li>An ability to use computing code to work in the STEM area and/or the willingness to develop these skills into the future. </li><li>Strong knowledge of NESA curriculum, HSC assessment practices and marking processes, including developments with Australian Curriculum implementation in NSW. </li></ul><p><strong>Personal Capabilities and Characteristics </strong></p><ul><li>Commitment to the values and ethos of Frensham Schools. </li><li>Enthusiasm for working as part of a highly professional and motivated team.</li><li>Willingness to contribute to the full life of the School, through involvement in Boarding and co-curricular activities.</li><li>Possesses the ability to integrate and utilise technology to enhance teaching and learning.</li><li>Commitment to ongoing professional development.</li><li>Open-minded, collaborative, enthusiastic and optimistic.</li><li>Personal integrity, honesty and fairness.</li><li>Creative and well-organised.</li></ul><p><strong>Please note:</strong> The provision of accommodation on campus may be available to the suitable candidate.</p><p><strong>Commencement: </strong>Term 1, 2025.</p><p><i>All staff at Frensham Schools take an active role in ensuring our Child Protection programs, policies and processes are at the forefront of all that we do.
