St Margaret Mary’s Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic & experienced Literacy Leader to lead the way in developing outstanding literacy instruction for our students. This is a 0.6 / 0.8 negotiable FTE ongoing Leadership position, POL 3 starting Term 1, 2025.

<p>St. Margaret Mary&#39;s is offering an exciting opportunity for a Literacy Curriculum Leader to join our passionate &amp; dynamic learning community. We are looking for a highly motivated Leader who is enthusiastic &amp; committed to contributing to the School and team in a positive way.</p><p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p><p>As our Literacy Leader, you will be instrumental in shaping the literacy program at our school, working closely with our educators to implement evidence-based approaches that are grounded in the Science of Learning. You will guide and support staff in developing best-practice literacy strategies, ensuring that teaching is not only informed by student timely data but also meets the diverse needs of all students. Your leadership will empower teachers to inspire in our children a love of reading, writing, listening and speaking thus optimising student outcomes in Literacy. You will be an important member of the school leadership team and as such will be involved in collaborations and decision making processes. You will also be provided opportunities to further develop your leadership skills, knowledge and opportunities and those of fellow educators. We enjoy an empowering professional environment at SMM, that assists all members of our community to thrive. </p><p>This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to our school community, helping to cultivate a rich, inclusive, engaging, and challenging learning environment for all students.</p><p>For a more detailed role description, please see attachment below.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and support the implementation of literacy practices based on the Science of Reading.</li><li>Collaborate with teaching staff to plan, deliver, and refine literacy programs that cater to diverse learning needs.</li><li>Inspire and guide colleagues in professional learning related to literacy instruction.</li><li>Build strong partnerships with staff, students, and families to foster a love of reading and learning.</li><li>Maintain a high standard of teaching, ensuring all students are supported and challenged to achieve their best.</li></ul><p><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></p><p>To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in literacy education, along with a passion for leading and supporting your peers. You should possess the following:</p><ul><li>Experience with evidence-based literacy instruction, particularly in alignment with the Science of Learning - MACS V4i 2030.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership abilities, including strong communication and organisational skills.</li><li>A commitment to professional growth and a willingness to engage in ongoing learning.</li><li>The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community.</li></ul><p>A genuine commitment to Catholic education and the wellbeing of all students</p><p><strong>Commitment to Child Safety:</strong></p><p>At.
