Staff at Lumen Christi develop contemporary learning and teaching strategies in a balanced approach to explicit instruction, high impact teaching strategies and inquiry learning.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong><br>The Clerical Administration and Fees Officer is an administration staff member who provides administration and professional clerical support to the school. Specific tasks of a Fees Officer include preparation, issue &amp; maintenance of all family debtor accounts, assisting with fee enquiries and following up on overdue debtor accounts in accordance with CECG policy.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities</strong></p><ul><li>A positive and collaborative workplace culture&nbsp;</li><li>A welcoming and inclusive staff and student community&nbsp;</li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption)&nbsp;</li><li>Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave)&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Contribute to the team goals of the administration staff, as identified in work plans, and assist other team members through cooperative team ethics.</li><li>Establish effective and cooperative working relationships with teaching and non-teaching colleagues.</li><li>Professional Development of Self - undertake regular professional development, such as reading and attending courses, for the development of knowledge and skills on a personal basis, to take into account current developments relevant to the role.</li><li>Contribute to the professional development of other staff members by sharing knowledge, ideas and resources.</li><li>Relieve Roster duties when needed.</li><li>Ensure Senior First Aid Certificate is current and supported by the College.</li><li>Ensure annual renewal of CPR, Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Epilepsy &amp; Diabetes Certificate.</li><li>Provide First Aid and follow up action as per College Policy as required.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness of the sick bay area, as per Sick Bay Relief roster.</li><li>Preparation, issue &amp; maintenance of all family debtor accounts.</li><li>Review and Confirm Family Fee Charges for each Term to Families.</li><li>Assist with fee enquiries from parents.</li><li>Follow up overdue debtor accounts in accordance with CECG Policy.</li><li>Prepare reports and provide information for the Business Manager and Principal to be reviewed at Fee Committee Meetings.</li><li>Monitor Direct debits &amp; BPay receipts.</li><li>Calculate payments, assist with creation of new direct debits and liaise with the College’s debt recovery agency.</li><li>Attend Fee Committee meetings 2 twice per Term.</li><li>Create &amp; develop TechOne &amp; Compass Sharepoint instruction sheets as new processes arise.</li><li>Management of College Hall Hire.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Previous Finance experience is an advantage.</li><li>Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and/or Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) registrations.</li><li>Current Senior First Aid Certificate.</li><li>Current CPR, Diabetes, Anaphylaxis, Asthma &amp; Epilepsy training.</li><li>In accordance with the Catholic Education, Religious Education Framework you must have completed or be willing to complete: Category A Accreditation in Religious Education.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p><ol><li>Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to relate with staff and parents in a professional, informed, adaptable, and caring manner.</li><li>Experience in reception duties at a general office function.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality.</li><li>Ability to work individually and collegially as part of a team applying strong interpersonal skills with a courteous and cooperative approach.</li><li>Professional experience and working knowledge of computer software packages including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).</li><li>Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload in an office environment.</li><li>Strong planning and organisational skills.</li><li>Good communication (both oral and written) and negotiation skills.</li></ol><p><i>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required.</i></p><p><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria</strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.</li><li>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with CECG policy.</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process</strong></p><p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes and experience as outlined in the position description.</p><p>This position involves working with children.
