The College is currently seeking a Library Administrator from Term 4, 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the formation of a new college of educational excellence.

<p>Lysterfield Lake College is an independent school teaching the Catholic faith in Narre Warren North. The College currently educates 100 students from Year 3 to Year 7. Each coming year, the College will be opening a new year level, through to Year 12. </p><p>The College is a project of the Parents for Education (PARED) Victoria Foundation. It is founded on the principles that parents are the Primary educators of their children, and that schools exist to support parents in this role. This support is found in the quality of the academic curriculum, in the way that staff work with students and parents in a unique mentoring program, in the emphasis on character development and virtues in the curriculum, and in the concern that staff and peer example be fully positive and supportive of parents. </p><p>The College is currently seeking a Library Administrator from Term 4, 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the formation of a new college of educational excellence. </p><p> <strong>ROLE DESCRIPTION</strong> </p><p><strong>Reports to</strong>: Head of Office Operations </p><p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Part-time contract (2 mornings per week), permanent ongoing. </p><p><strong>Work Eligibility</strong>: Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours </p><p><strong>Tasks:</strong> Implement the Library/Curriculum Management System including RFID technology developing the implementation plan in collaboration with the Head of Office Operations. Ongoing oversight of curriculum resources tracking and Library with a view to expanding the management system to include other resources.  Additional Administrative support for events, curriculum preparation and occasional assistance with other Administration functions. </p><p> All staff are expected to reflect the vision, mission and values of PARED Victoria in the way that they perform their role, and in the relationships they form with all members of the school community. A commitment to modelling the teachings and values of the Catholic faith is essential. </p><p> <strong>SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES</strong> </p><p>The Library Administrator is a point of contact with parents, families and staff, as well as frequent contact for students, and therefore a highly professional, respectful, efficient and welcoming manner together with timely support, communication, and assistance are integral to the success in the role.  The role encompasses all functions of the administration office on a day-to-day basis and the successful candidate needs to be highly collaborative and flexible. </p><p>You will have </p><p>•             capability and experience working within an administrative environment within school administration and skills, qualifications and experience operating within a library environment </p><p>•             qualifications administering first aid and be willing to participate in training to champion first aid practices within the college and achieve the required level of certification in line with the minimum standards for schools. </p><p>•             excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage with staff, students and families in a highly positive and professional manner. </p><p>•             A high level of experience working with Microsoft applications and be comfortable with the use of technology to support the productivity, record keeping and activities within the Administration Office. </p><p>•             the ability to apply practical skills to problem solving in a discreet environment and experience managing highly sensitive and confidential information. </p><p>•             Outstanding organisation skills including the implementation and ongoing administration of the college library, preparation of curriculum, materials, calenda,  events, excursions and staff activities with an attention to detail. </p><p>•             a current Employee Working With Children Clearance and be highly committed to the organisations policies and procedures to ensure a superior Child Safe culture. </p><p> Child safety: It is an expectation that every staff member complies with the school’s Child Protection and Safety Policy, Code of Conduct and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety. </p><p> </p>
