As such, they are required to: </p><ul><li>support and assist the mission of Catholic education in the way of Jules Chevalier and the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC)</li><li>see themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning</li><li>work collaboratively with other teachers to design learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding</li><li>enhance social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including learner agency, self-regulated learning, critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student</li><li>use summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for key learning outcomes</li><li>demonstrate deep understanding of curriculum which informs subject disciplinary knowledge</li><li>use digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student and teacher learning</li><li>regularly provide students with feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle</li><li>be open to growth and development through professional learning experiences which include classroom observations, practice analysis conversations and input from Leaders of Learning and,</li><li>know and apply New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) guidelines.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional information</strong></p><ul><li>All teachers appointed to permanent positions at Chevalier College are required to uphold an extracurricular commitment which requires afternoon coaching 2 days a week and attendance at Saturday fixtures for up 12-14 weeks for either a winter or summer season. </li><li>Salary and conditions will be as per the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Teachers – Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023.</li><li>This is a child-related position.  Candidates are required to possess a valid a Working With Children Check and will be subject to identification verification.</li></ul>
