<p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>As part of St Patrick’s College commitment to expanding educational opportunities, we are excited to announce the launch of a new VET offering in Hairdressing & Beauty Services. We are seeking either an experienced professional in the Hairdressing & Beauty industry who is passionate about teaching and eager to complete their Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or an experienced VET Teacher already established in the industry. This is a 12-month limited tenure part time (0.5 FTE / 36 hours per fortnight) position with the opportunity to lead and develop our new Hairdressing & Beauty Services VET program, providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving field. </p><p>In this role, you will deliver the Hairdressing & Beauty Services Training package within our VET program, focusing on units for Certificate II Salon Assistant and Certificate III Makeup. You will ensure the program meets industry standards, engage students through practical, hands-on training, and create a positive learning environment that supports student participation and growth. Additionally, you will provide mentorship and guidance to help students navigate their educational and career paths.</p><p>Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018.</p><p><br /><strong>About You</strong></p><p>We’re looking for a dedicated professional who is ready to make a meaningful impact in our VET program. To thrive in this role, you will be:</p><ul><li>An experienced professional in the Hairdressing & Beauty industry willing to obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (by June 2025) or an experienced VET Teacher in the field.</li><li>Experience working with young people (Trainees / Apprentices / Students).</li><li>Passionate about sharing industry knowledge and inspiring the next generation in the Hairdressing & Beauty industry.</li><li>Excited to lead and shape a new VET program that aligns with industry trends.</li><li>An exceptional communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills that support your ability to build effective relationships with all members of the school community.</li><li>Collaborative with colleagues and industry professionals to enhance the program’s offerings and student outcomes.</li><li>Organised, proactive and dedicated to student success, enthusiastic about guiding students and helping them succeed.</li><li>Understanding of and able to contribute to the mission and values of St Patrick’s College as a Catholic school.<br /> </li></ul><p>CET supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
