This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our mission of promoting a comprehensive understanding of religious and ethical perspectives. The successful applicant will have knowledge of current developments in teaching and learning and a passion and enthusiasm for teaching.</p><p><strong>Key duties and responsibilities </strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience teaching Studies of Religion (SOR) Stage 6 and Religious Education (RE) across Stages 4-5;</li><li>Demonstrated experience teaching HSC Studies of Religion;</li><li>HSC marking experience is preferable; </li><li>Planning and implementing effective teaching and learning strategies;</li><li>Assessing, providing feedback, and reporting on student learning;</li><li>Developing teaching programs and assessments across all stages preferred however not essential;</li><li>Working collaboratively in a Religious Education Faculty;</li><li>Ability to implement new syllabi;</li><li>Creating and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment;</li><li>Using effective pedagogies, a range of differentiated approaches and a variety of stimulating and interactive  </li><li>Effectively managing student behaviour and maintaining an educational environment that promotes learning resources to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes;</li></ul><p><strong>The successful applicant will</strong>:</p><ul><li>Demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School;</li><li>Adhere to the Colleges Safeguarding Standards and Child Protection policies and procedures;</li><li>Teach with excellence, professionalism and commitment;</li><li>Be supportive of the Lasallian ethos of the College;</li><li>Be committed to professional growth and development of excellence;</li><li>Be an experienced, innovative, and engaging team member;</li><li>Have an ability to relate to girls and boys with a practical knowledge of boy’s education issues and initiatives in the foundation years (Stages 4 - 6);</li><li>Be committed to professional growth and development of excellence.</li></ul><p><strong>Please refer to the position description for further information.</strong></p><p><strong>How to Apply:</strong></p><p><strong>APPLICATION MUST BE MADE ON-LINE VIA THE COLLEGE WEBSITE</strong></p><p><a href="https://www.oakhill.nsw.edu.au/employment" rel="nofollow">https://www.oakhill.nsw.edu.au/employment</a></p><p>To apply for the role, candidates need to submit a covering letter (2 pages maximum) and an up-to-date curriculum vitae that clearly details their relevant skills and experience. </p><p>Oakhill College is committed to child safety and Safeguarding Standards and the health, safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, and school community.
