The role of English, Humanities and Literacy Teacher in Middle School – Years 7-8, is a relatively new role within the School and is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and engaged teacher to be a part of creating a connected and agile learning hub, based in the Middle School Library.

<p><strong>Permanent - Full-Time</strong></p><p>If you are passionate about teaching, supporting and collaborating with colleagues, coaching and increasing the learning outcomes for students then please read on. The role of English, Humanities and Literacy Teacher in Middle School – Years 7-8, is a relatively new role within the School and is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and engaged teacher to be a part of creating a connected and agile learning hub, based in the Middle School Library.</p><p>The successful applicant will have proven experience and/or knowledge in the following areas:</p><ol><li>Demonstrated breadth of curriculum and pedagogical knowledge and the skills and capacity to innovate, develop and deliver Middle School curriculum, with a focus on English, Humanities and Literacy.</li><li>Demonstrated capacity to work alongside classroom teachers/within the classroom, to provide an enriching and engaging approach to learning.</li><li>Demonstrated capacity to work proactively and responsively with teams and individuals to support pedagogical growth and the Middle School’s connected and cross-disciplinary learning program.</li><li>Show a demonstrated commitment to the pastoral care of students in all relevant contexts. </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional and personal growth and a willingness to engage in both internal and external professional learning with colleagues.</li></ol><p>This permanent, full-time role commences on 1 January 2025.</p><p>Further details on the role are provided under the employment section of <strong>The Friends’ School website www.friends.tas.edu.au/employment  </strong></p><p>Applications must include:</p><ul><li>A covering letter outlining your suitability for, and interest in the role </li><li>Your resume </li></ul><p>and should be received by 9.00 am, Monday 16 September 2024.
