Established in 2011 by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, the mission of <em>Good Samaritan Education</em> is to sustain and nurture our Catholic schools as Good Samaritan Benedictine communities of learning.</p><p>Catholic education in the Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition is committed to developing students who will engage with today’s world as grounded, hope-filled young people who are equipped to lead wisely, to listen deeply and to treat their neighbour and their environment with justice, love and the compassion of Christ.</p><p>Rosebank College promotes an inclusive, welcoming environment for children and provides transparent, accountable, risk-managed approaches to ensure child safeguarding.</p><p>As a school of Good Samaritan Education, Rosebank College is incorporated and governed by a Board of Directors which is accountable through the Company Members to Good Samaritan Education.</p><p>For further information about Rosebank College, please visit our website: www.rosebank.nsw.edu.au.</p><p> </p><p><strong>About the Role </strong></p><p>A school of <em>Good Samaritan Education</em>, Rosebank College seeks expressions of interest for the position of Visual Arts Teacher to join the Creative and Performing Arts Department (CAPA) in a full-time permanent ongoing (1.0FTE) position.</p><p>Commencing Term 1, 2025, and reporting to the CAPA Coordinator, the successful candidate will teach Visual Arts in Years 7 to 12, with the ability to teach digital photography, film, and animation.</p><p>The Visual Arts Teacher will collaborate within the CAPA department and across all year groups, undertaking responsibilities within the team as required by the CAPA Coordinator. The CAPA department is highly successful and fosters a culture of continuous improvement committed to student-centered practice.</p><p>The College offers excellent support to all teachers to enable them to develop on their professional journey through professional development. All staff are required to be involved in the pastoral care of our students, demonstrate a commitment to the ideals and ethos of Catholic Education, and be willing to participate in extracurricular programs.</p><p>Applicants for this position must be excellent classroom practitioners, dedicated team players, interested in the care and welfare of students, and have particular skills in teaching Visual Arts to equip them to contribute to the College’s educational program in teaching and learning. Applicants must also be skilled in using educational technology in the classroom. It is an expectation that all staff support the vision and goals of the College as a learning community and contribute to all aspects of College life.</p><p>To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:</p><ul> <li>Demonstrate experience in Visual Arts – Photo media, Time-Based Forms, Graphic Design, Digital Technologies, and Material Technologies;</li> <li>Demonstrate experience in teaching Photography and Digital Media, including an understanding of programs within the Adobe Suite such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro;</li> <li>Demonstrate knowledge, competence, and confidence in Stages 4, 5 & 6 Arts courses;</li> <li>A commitment to academic excellence and demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices that encourages academic excellence;</li> <li>Commitment to continual improvement and effective use of data to differentiate the curriculum and address the learning needs of all students;</li> <li>Knowledge and understanding of the current curriculum and NESA requirements for Visual Arts;</li> <li>Ability to successfully integrate technology into everyday learning and planning;</li> <li>Interpersonal skills with parents, students and staff;</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team;</li> <li>Possess a valid Working with Children Check;</li> <li>A commitment to the child safeguarding principles;</li> <li>Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College;</li> <li>Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW;</li> <li>Supporting the College Pastoral Program, including being responsible for a Home Room.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>The Process</strong></p><p>If you believe you meet the requirements of this position, then please click on the <strong>Apply Now</strong> button to submit your online application, to the Principal of Rosebank College.</p><p>When you complete the <strong><em>online application</em></strong>, you will need to provide:</p><ul> <li>A copy of your CV;</li> <li>A cover letter;</li> <li>Upload copies of formal teaching qualifications including copies of transcripts;</li> <li>Provide details of your Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.</li></ul><p>Candidates that progress through our recruitment process, will be required to provide at least two (2) referees including current employer.</p><p>Early applications are encouraged to assist the interview process.
