Following this review, we have a fantastic opportunity for experienced and highly skilled Head of Learning – Vocational Major (POL3) to join Penola Catholic College from 2025 to 2027.</p><p>As the Head of Learning (HOL) – Vocational Major you will provide support to teachers within the Vocational Major Learning Area. </p><p>As the HOL – Vocational Major you will ensure the establishment of explicit high standards for learning in the vocational major learning area. You will be committed to the implementation of best teaching practice and learning programs which meet the needs of every learner. You will work with the vocational major team members, providing direction, ensuring the implementation of best practice in teaching, quality learning programs and managing resources, to improve student learning outcomes.</p><p>Please note an ongoing teaching appointment is attached to the position.</p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>To be successful you will have a passion for learning, be an excellent classroom teacher, display innovative and inspiring classroom practices and be well versed in contemporary educational pedagogy. You will be able to demonstrate and model contemporary teaching practice: understanding how students ‘learn best’. You will also have a demonstrated knowledge of the Australian curriculum frameworks and have a demonstrated capacity to provide leadership that is characterised by a desire for continuous improvement, lateral thinking and innovation, holding team members to account where necessary.
