St James the Apostle is seeking a teacher who is passionate about teaching Science & Health through a kitchen garden program. Salary Range: $78,021 - $115,737 - Based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA)

<p>St James the Apostle is an integral part of the faith community of Hoppers Crossing and is one of 4 parish primary schools. St James is governed under the authority of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Limited (MACS) ABN 18643442371. MACS is the employer of employees at St James.</p><p>We are seeking a Kitchen Garden Specialist or Specialist Teacher who is able to:</p><ul><li>Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.</li><li>Plan and integrate learning in the kitchen with learning in the garden</li><li>Maintain the kitchen garden as part of the daily lessons</li><li>Develop a Learning and Teaching program following the recommendations and guidelines as developed within the Victorian Curriculum</li><li>Assess and report for all learners using school systems</li><li>Prepare a year and term overviews for all home groups</li><li>Maintain ongoing professional documentation of learning, teaching and assessment on Google Drive</li><li>Contribute to future planning and policy. </li></ul><p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p><p>St James promotes the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.</p><ul><li>The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.</li><li>Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred.</li><li>Contact details of two referees.</li></ul><p>Note: MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and protection of all children in our care.
