In line with the College's Statement of Mission, it is expected that the successful applicant will be committed to educating young women and promoting personal excellence.<br /><br /><strong>Position Highlights</strong><br /><br />The Director of Learning and Teaching is a member of the College Leadership Team. The role heads the Leaders of Learning within the College, oversees the learning agenda and is responsible for working with teachers in the development, implementation and evaluation of future-focused, innovative and effective pedagogy. Not required to work in school holidays</li> <li>salary packaging of up to $15,900 annually</li> <li>up to 25% discount on school fees for parents of SCS students</li> <li>ongoing training and development opportunities</li> <li>discounts on gym classes and memberships, activewear, healthy meals, and wellbeing products</li> <li>generous Employee Referral Program.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong><br /><br />As the Director of Learning &amp; Teaching (Coordinator 3) Term 1-3, 2025 you will work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.<br /><br /><strong>Key Selection criteria:</strong><br /><br />The Director of Learning &amp; Teaching is a delegated responsibility by the Principal for the leadership and management of the following key areas:</p> <ul> <li>supporting the mission and ethos of the Catholic School in the Clarion and Franciscan traditions</li> <li>leading the ongoing development of quality differentiated pedagogy, and authentic learning and assessment</li> <li>implementing significant and sustainable school improvement initiatives</li> <li>oversee the utilisation of formative and summative assessments to drive student progress</li> <li>collaborating with teachers and staff to build teacher and leader capacity</li> <li>collaborate, plan and provide effective leadership of school-wide professional learning initiatives</li> <li>collaborating with staff to analyse school and system data for improvement</li> <li>leading and sharing innovative learning and teaching practice within the College</li> <li>demonstrating excellent presentation and communication skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p> <ul> <li>masters in Education/Educational Leadership or similar</li> <li>experience as a Middle Leader is essential.</li> </ul> <p>You will have attained:</p> <ul> <li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li> <li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li> <li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per<a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools"> Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</a>.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Application Process</strong><br /> <br />Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
