We are seeking a passionate and committed Religious Education Coordinator to join us on a temporary full-time basis from 31 January 2025 to 13 October 2025. This role may include a mix of off-class duties, with a focus on diversity and learning support.

With over 5,000 employees located across 80 primary and secondary schools and office communities, our aim is to transform learning and unlock the full potential of each of our 43,500 students while enriching the professional lives of staff.</p><p><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p><p>The Religious Education Coordinator is responsible to the Principal and shares in the leadership of the school community and contributes to the achievement of the school's missions and student learning outcomes. In addition, you will:</p><ul><li>Ensure that the school delivers high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community it serves which is embedded in the Catholic world view</li><li>Lead a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church</li><li>Contribute a deep knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum and in enhancing the liturgical, sacramental and spiritual life of the school</li><li>Build the necessary relationships with the Parish Priest, parents, learning community, Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese and other partners contributing to the work of Catholic schooling</li><li>Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and challenging learning environment</li></ul><p><strong>About you (selection criteria):</strong></p><ul><li>A strong commitment to the Catholic faith in practice and lifestyle, witness and modelling</li><li>A minimum of four years’ professional qualification in education</li><li>Accreditation to teach RE and the completion of a Masters of Religious Education/Theology or a Masters of Educational Leadership (if there are at least four units at Masters Level in Religious Education/Theology and/or Scripture)</li><li>Substantial currency in Religious Education pedagogy and knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum</li><li>An understanding of contemporary learning theory and practice, and an ability to ensure this is evident in the teaching within the school</li><li>Capacity to challenge and lead a school community that gives witness to the Catholic faith and its teaching and is aligned with the system strategic intent</li><li>Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive peer relationships and engage actively within the school community</li><li>Commitment to modelling school values and integrity</li><li>A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning and formation</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications and Accreditations required:</strong></p><ul><li>Master of Religious Education/Theology or commitment to complete within four years of appointment</li><li>Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children</li><li>Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li><li>Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)</li><li>Accreditation to teach RE</li></ul><p><strong>The Benefits </strong></p><p>There are so many great things that CSPD has to offer!
