We are seeking a full-time (term only) permanent Library Assistant (Years 7-12) commencing at the beginning of 2025.

<p><strong>We are seeking a Library Assistant (Years 7-12) commencing at the beginning of 2025. </strong></p><p>Applications are invited from Library Assistants, preferably with experience working in a school library.  While this is a full-time (term only) role, candidates seeking part-time work are welcome to apply. Christians who are actively involved in a church are particularly encouraged to apply.</p><p><strong>About Us</strong></p><p>Rouse Hill Anglican College (RHAC) is a highly regarded independent co-educational Christian school with over 1,600 students from Pre-K to Year 12. Located in the Hills District in Sydney’s northwest, the College has modern facilities, is very well resourced and can be easily accessed by car or the Metro Northwest rail.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Circulation desk management, which involves managing library resources and interacting in a warm and friendly manner with staff and students.</li><li>Supervise small groups of students and promote the love of reading and the use of library resources.</li><li>Assist the librarians to:<ul><li>Manage the library collection including cataloguing, shelving, covering and accessioning books.</li><li>Coordinate physical and digital library displays.</li><li>Process overdue notices and manage library data.</li><li>Stocktake of library resources.</li><li>Provide a caring, well-managed and safe environment for students.</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Desirable Skills &amp; Qualities</strong></p><ul><li>Experience and knowledge of library procedures, preferably in a school library.</li><li>Skills and experience using IT systems, experience using specific library management systems is preferrable.</li><li>A positive attitude and a calm, approachable disposition.</li></ul><p><strong>The Contract</strong></p><p>All support staff at RHAC are employed under the Independent Schools Standards Model Multi Enterprise Agreement (MEA).
