<p>Thomas Hassall Anglican College is a vibrant P-12 independent College located with close access to the M5 and M7 in the growing southwest of Sydney. The successful applicant will be appropriately qualified and ready to work within a professional and cohesive team. This is an exciting opportunity to also work in our brand-new STEM centre which will open at the start of the year. The new building will include state-of-the-art classrooms and facilities as well as access to innovative resources.</p><p><strong>Key Selection Criteria </strong></p><p>the successful applicant for the above position must be able to provide evidence to support the following criteria:</p><ul><li>Strong personal Christian faith and be a regular and practising member of a Bible-based Christian Church.</li><li>Evidence of innovative classroom practices that are effective with senior school students.</li><li>A high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher.</li><li>Experience in teaching Technology and Applied Studies (TAS), with a focus on Engineering and/or Computing. </li><li>Excellent knowledge and understanding of the integration of technology in the delivery of learning and how this supports the development of learning for students in this age group.</li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of how students learn and effective classroom teaching strategies and the capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning.</li><li>Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, critical analysis and problem-solving skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Secondary Teaching qualifications in Technology and Applied Studies and NESA accreditation.</li><li>Ability to teach Stage 6 Engineering and/or Computing is an advantage.</li></ul><p><strong>Applications should include:</strong></p><ul><li>Cover application letter</li><li>Completion of Employment Application form available on the College website - This should include the names, addresses and phone numbers of three confidential referees.
