<p><strong>About the College</strong></p><p>Emmanuel Anglican College, Ballina provides an innovative and dynamic learning environment for students in Pre-school to Year 12 and is highly regarded as a centre of academic and pastoral excellence in the Ballina Shire and Northern Rivers Region.</p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>The College seeks a talented and committed educator with the depth of knowledge, experience and expertise required to teach Secondary Mathematics. They will also have an excellent knowledge of NSW Syllabuses, assessment and reporting requirements, a thorough understanding of student welfare matters and a dedication to the profession of teaching. </p><p>This role is a full time permanent position. Commencing January 2025.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p>The following responsibilities are not exhaustive but are indicative of the scope and nature of the role. </p><ul><li>Thorough Knowledge of students and how they learn.</li><li>An extensive knowledge of content and the ability to teach it effectively.</li><li>Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning.</li><li>Create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments.</li><li>Proven ability to assess, provide feedback and report on student learning.</li><li>Engage in professional learning and work productively with colleagues, parents/caregivers and the community.</li><li>Actively support the ethos of the College.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent knowledge of NSW Syllabuses, assessment and reporting requirements, thorough understanding of student welfare matters, dedication to the profession of teaching</li><li>Experience in teaching Stage 6 Advanced and Extension Mathematics would be advantageous</li><li>Good interpersonal skills, excellent organisational skills, ability to work effectively as a team member and willingness to contribute to the College’s co-curricular and extra curricular programs.</li><li>Innovative, passionate and experienced educator with an understanding of how students learn and the ability to create classroom environments that engage, and meet the needs of, learners</li><li>Demonstrated capacity to work with a team and a desire to grow professionally</li><li>NSW Teacher Accreditation and a current WWCC</li></ul><p><strong>Personal Qualities and Attitudes</strong></p><ul><li>Supportive of the College’s ethos and vision</li><li>Energetic, proactive and able to demonstrate initiative</li><li>A high level of interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Loyalty and commitment to the College, students and staff</li><li>Well developed skills of time management and organisation</li><li>Adhere to and abide by the expectations of Emmanuel Anglican College Code of Conduct</li></ul><p>A full position description is available on the College website <a href="http://www.eac.nsw.edu.au/about-us/employment" rel="nofollow">www.eac.nsw.edu.au/about-us/employment</a></p><p><strong>How to Apply</strong></p><p>Please provide a cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role addressing key responsibilities and knowledge, skills and qualifications outlined in the Position Description.
