We are seeking a Teacher - Dance; Grades 5-12 to inspire and nurture the creative potential of each student in a collaborative, creative and innovative environment.

<p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>We are seeking a Teacher - Dance; Grades 5-12 to inspire and nurture the creative potential of each student in a collaborative, creative and innovative environment. </p><p>You will be responsible for delivering a cutting-edge curriculum at Sheldon<br />College and have the ability to teach the ACARA Dance and General Dance curriculum across a variety of year levels. Working with a dynamic team of dedicated educators, your goal will be to enhance the capabilities of<br />students within The Arts.</p><p>In addition the Dance specific requirements include:</p><ul><li>Choreograph large scale Arts events, including College Musical. Dance training and further experience is essential to this role.</li><li>Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT). </li><li>Ability to plan and deliver exceptional teaching and learning programs that meet the needs of students according to ACARA and QCAA.</li><li>Ability to implement ACARA and QCAA syllabuses, through using the College-based teaching, learning and assessment plans.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing Dance events and developing the Dance co-curricular program.</li><li>Passion for quality teaching and learning and the ability to translate this into a challenging learning environment with strong student engagement and excellent academic outcomes.</li><li>Ability to create a safe, secure learning environment in which trust is fostered, individual differences are respected and valued, and students are encouraged to be risk takers and self-directed learners. </li><li>Capacity for reflection and self-directed learning with a commitment to continuously improve teaching practices. </li><li>Ability to apply creative and innovative practices and processes in education and digital platform tools to support student learning. </li><li>Strong team orientation with a willingness to contribute and collaborate. </li><li>Ability to establish effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues and partnerships within the wider community. </li><li>High standards of personal integrity and professionalism.</li></ul><p><strong>About Us </strong> </p><p><strong>Sheldon College </strong>is an independent, co-educational, non-denominational College situated in Redland City, catering for students from 15 months of age through to Year 12.
