The College is seeking to appoint a part time 3 potentially 4 days per week Food Studies Assistant commencing as soon as possible. The position is an Education Support, Category B, Level 2.

<p>Roles and Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Prepare and set up for practical activities and demonstrations in advance according to the timetable, requirements of the teacher and class.</li><li>Assist teachers during practical activities with supervision and support for students learning, including: collection of ingredients and equipment; working safely and hygienically; cleaning and packing away equipment and appliances; supporting individual or small groups of students; injured or unwell students</li><li>Trial new recipes to confirm quantities of ingredients.</li><li>Maintaining the Food Studies Room and equipment</li><li>Managing Stock</li></ul><p>The successful applicant will have the following:</p><ul><li>Strong organizational skills</li><li>An interest in food, catering and working in a school environment, with young people</li><li>An awareness of the safe work practices required in a Food Studies classroom</li><li>Confident using the Internet, Emails, School management system (mySBC), MSTeams, Excel and Word (Important for ordering etc)</li><li>Registrations eg VIT or Working with Children Check</li><li>Current Police Check</li><li>An appropriate food handling certificate or the willingness to undertake training</li></ul><p> </p><p>Interested: Please complete an online application at www.sbc.vic.edu.au/about/employment by clicking on the &#39;Apply Now&#39; button. .  Applications close at 4.00pm on 25 August 2024.  The Position Description can be found on the College website.</p><p>The College promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children and young people.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
