The College is seeking a passionate Physics Teacher to commence in 2025 within our Science Department to deliver high academic outcomes.
<p><i>Established in 1879, St Aloysius' College is a Catholic, Jesuit day school for boys from Year 3 to Year 12. Situated in the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it has an enrolment of over 1200 students.</i></p>

<p><strong>Physics Teacher</strong></p>
<p>St Aloysius’ College is seeking to appoint a dedicated and innovative Physics Teacher to join the College on a full-time basis, commencing Term 1, 2025.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for Science, developing and implementing innovative teaching programs that engage and inspire students learning. With a commitment to teacher excellence and contemporary pedagogy, you will work collaboratively within a high performing team positively contributing to the overall academic and pastoral care of students.</p>
<p>Reporting to the Head of Science, this role represents a fantastic opportunity for experienced educators or enthusiastic graduates with strong subject expertise seeking to promote inquiry and authentic learning in the achievement of continuous improvement of academic outcomes. </p>

<p><strong>About You</strong></p>
<p>To be considered for this position, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate:</p>
<ul>
<li>Commitment to the mission of Catholic education of boys in the Jesuit tradition;</li>
<li>Possess appropriate secondary school teaching qualifications, and eligibility to teach under the requirements of NESA, NSW legislation and College policy;</li>
<li>Proven experience teaching and achieving exceptional academic results in Stage 6 Physics;</li>
<li>An understanding of the educational needs of boys and young men;</li>
<li>Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with teachers in the development, implementation and evaluation of NESA based programs;</li>
<li>Proven ability to facilitate a warm, engaging and high-quality learning environment that meets the academic, social and emotional needs of all students;</li>
<li>High level of interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with staff, students, parents and the broader College community;</li>
<li>Excellent ICT skills and the ability to integrate technology into learning programs to improve educational outcomes;</li>
<li>Commitment to academic excellence;</li>
<li>Possess a valid Working with Children Check;</li>
<li>Strong commitment to child safeguarding principles.</li>
