<p>Oakhill College is an Independent Catholic Secondary School conducted in the Lasallian tradition, with an enrolment of 2,200 students, boys Years 7 to 10, co-educational in Years 11 and 12. In this key position, you'll collaborate closely with senior leadership to develop and oversee an exceptional sports experience for our students.<br /><br />In this exciting role, you'll be at the helm of all sports operations, from organizing sports tours to managing our exceptional facilities and equipment. Oakhill’s outstanding amenities, including four expansive ovals, an indoor pool, tennis courts, and indoor basketball courts, provide the perfect environment to drive sports excellence.<br /><br />Your leadership will be pivotal in selecting, training, and mentoring our dedicated coaches and managers, ensuring every individual student and team reaches their full potential. If you have a track record of success in sports management and an aptitude for fostering growth and innovation, we want to hear from you!<br /><br />Join us and make a significant impact on our students' athletic journey in an environment blessed with exceptional facilities and a commitment to excellence.<br /><br /><strong>The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in the areas of:</strong><br />• Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the College’s sports programs for Years 7-12, including ISA Sport and CIS Pathway sports.<br />• Foster an inclusive and positive sports’ culture that promotes teamwork, discipline, and personal growth for students.<br />• Develop and implement a strategic sports development plan aligned with the College’s mission and values.<br />• Oversee the scheduling and coordination of sports fixtures, events, and tours, including facilities and equipment management.<br />• Recruit, train, and mentor coaches and managers to ensure high standards of coaching and support.<br />• Conduct post-season reviews and create development plans to drive continuous improvement.<br />• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including child protection, safety standards, and risk management.<br />• Manage the Fitness Gym, Physio/First Aid staff, and facility bookings to support sports activities.<br />• Prepare and manage the sports budget and inventory to ensure efficient use of resources.<br />• Build strong relationships with the community.<br /><br /><strong>The successful applicant will:</strong><br />• Be a qualified teacher with NESA accreditation.<br />• Demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School.<br />• Adhere to the Colleges Safeguarding Standards and Child Protection policies and procedures.<br />• Teach with excellence, professionalism, and commitment.<br />• Be supportive of the Lasallian ethos of the College.<br />• Be committed to professional growth and development of excellence.<br />• Be an experienced, innovative, and engaging team member.<br />• Ability to relate to girls and boys, with practical knowledge of boy’s education issues and initiatives in the foundation years (Stages 4 - 6).<br />• Be committed to professional growth and development of excellence.</p><p><i>The appointment is for an initial period of up to 3 years, renewable by mutual agreement.</i></p><p><strong>Please refer to the position description for further information.</strong></p><p><strong>How to Apply:</strong></p><p><strong>APPLICATION MUST BE MADE ON-LINE VIA THE COLLEGE WEBSITE</strong><br /><a href="https://www.oakhill.nsw.edu.au/employment#entry:119@1:url" rel="nofollow">https://www.oakhill.nsw.edu.au/employment</a></p><p>To apply for the role, candidates need to submit a cover letter (2 pages maximum) and an up-to-date curriculum vitae that clearly details their relevant skills and experience.<br /><br />Oakhill College is committed to child safety and Safeguarding Standards and the health, safety and wellbeing of our students, staff, and school community.
