Chevalier College is looking for a Digital Media and Marketing Officer to shape and share our evolving learning narrative. This full-time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to build and manage our digital and social media presence, craft compelling content, and drive impactful marketing campaigns.

<p><strong>Digital Media and Marketing Officer</strong> </p><p>Chevalier College is seeking applications for a Digital Media and Marketing Officer. The position will be a full-time permanent role. </p><p>The Digital Media and Marketing Officer acts as a contemporary storyteller of the evolving life of a thriving school community. This position builds, grows, and manages digital media, social media and other online communities in line with the College’s vision for learning, wellbeing and faith formation for each of its students. The position also supports and drives marketing campaigns through preparing design and copy, and is a member of the College Events Team for functions, events and other similar activities. </p><p>As a key member of the Marketing and Communications team, the Digital Media and Marketing Officer is responsible for the development and growth of the College’s digital/social media platforms, including photography and creating video and copy. Furthermore, the position works with students to grow the student-led Content Creation Team and provides general administrative support and campaign/project coordination. </p><p><strong>The College</strong> </p><p>Chevalier College’s rich 78-year history is shaped by the MSC values of kindness, compassion, inclusivity, and hospitality. As a heart-centred, learner focused contemporary learning community, Chevalier College enables students to be collaborative and future-facing thinkers who activate purposeful, meaningful and positive change in a rapidly changing world. </p><p><strong>Role Requirements</strong> </p><p>The Digital Media and Marketing Officer conveys the evolving learning narrative of the organisation with engaging content, expressed through written, graphic and video formats via various online platforms and printed publications. As such, the position: </p><ul><li>Builds relationships with teachers and the wider school community to source community stories. </li><li>Takes and edits photos and videos, and manages external photographers/videographers, to maintain a library of school images. </li><li>Initiates social media communications and campaigns which showcase the learning narrative. </li><li>Uses data analytics and timely reporting to inform ‘best practice’ engagement and communications. </li><li>Grows the reach of online platforms by engaging with families, partners and online networks. </li><li>Prepares impactful design and copy for online and printed campaigns. </li><li>Manages and mentors a team or teams of students who produce video and social media content. </li><li>Maintains and develops the College website. </li><li>Supports College events as a member of the team, as required. </li><li>Completes other administrative tasks as required including reception cover and phone overflow. </li><li>Provides other administrative support as required from time to time and directed by the Senior Manager – Marketing and Communications. </li></ul><p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong> </p><ul><li>Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience within a marketing and communications role. </li><li>Organisational, planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced         environment, dealing with multiple and urgent priorities and meeting timelines. </li><li>Demonstrated experience in managing multiple digital platforms with evidence of success and growth. </li><li>Demonstrated excellent ability in the use of a range of software applications including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Photoshop and iMovie or equivalent. </li><li>Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills, including the ability to draft and proof content with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. </li><li>The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to achieve shared outcomes and results. </li><li>The ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders to establish and maintain strong and productive working relationships. </li></ul><p><strong>Other </strong></p><ul><li>Permanent full-time role. </li><li>Some weekend and out of hours work will be required. </li><li>Salary and conditions will be as per the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Support Staff – Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2023. The position will be paid at Level 4a circa $81,242 plus superannuation. </li><li>This is a child-related position.
