Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

You will thrive working in partnership with our students, parents and teachers.</p><p><strong>Temporary Part-time (3 days) Diversity Teacher until the end of the year</strong></p><p>As an experienced and exceptional classroom practitioner, you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs. You will support identified students in Years 7-12 within an individual and group contexts by way of second and third wave literacy and numeracy interventions.</p><p>The successful applicant will demonstrate;</p><ul><li>highly developed interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff</li><li>exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective pedagogies</li><li>proven capacity to differentiate the curriculum for a diverse range of abilities</li><li>ability to set effective learning goals with students</li><li>high levels of organisation and time management skills</li><li>an ongoing commitment to professional development</li><li>ability to work effectively in a team environment</li><li>a commitment to Catholic Education and a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools.</li></ul><p>You will have attained:</p><ul><li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li><li>employee ID registration number with Parramatta Catholic Schools or a commitment to Registration to Teach in CEDP schools.</li></ul><p>The desirable applicant will demonstrate a commitment to:</p><ul><li>a willingness to engage with research based intervention strategies in a variety of learning environments</li><li>tracking student progress in literacy and numeracy with data, in order to work with teachers to develop their understanding of diverse learning needs.</li><li>working collaboratively with staff to cater for diverse learning needs.</li><li>an understanding of personalised planning for students with disability.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Interested?</strong></p><p>This position involves working with children.
