Mary Glowrey is seeking a principal who is an educational leader who inspires excellence, leads with strong faith, integrity, and vision.

<p><strong>YOUR ROLE</strong></p><p>As a Principal, you will be inspired to lead a joy-filled community where students, staff, and families can flourish within a Catholic context. Your leadership will enable the vision of the school to be realised, creating an environment where everyone can reach their full potential. The role of the Principal is one of the most important roles across the MACS system, as their faith and educational leadership enables the vision of the school to be realised. This role will work in collaboration with MACS, staff members, local Parish Priest, and the broader School community to achieve the identified goals of the School. </p><p><strong>ABOUT MARY GLOWREY, MOUNT DUNEED</strong></p><p>Mary Glowrey Primary School will serve the suburbs of Mount Duneed, Grovedale, and parts of Armstrong Creek. Mary Glowrey Catholic Primary School, Mount Duneed, will be a parish primary school with a capacity for 525 enrolled students.</p><p>The school will be deeply inspired by the charism of Dr Sr Mary Glowrey, whose legacy of compassion, dedication, and service will guide the school&#39;s development.</p><p>The principal will ensure that the charism of Dr Sr Mary Glowrey serves as a vital link between our parish values and the mission of Mary Glowrey Primary School, fostering a community where faith and service are at the heart of education.</p><p> </p><p><strong>ABOUT THE COMMUNITY</strong></p><p>Mary Glowrey Primary School, located within the Nazareth Parish, reflects our community&#39;s vision and mission. We are committed to celebrating our diverse community, fostering peace and joy, and promoting a family-oriented atmosphere.</p><p>The principal will play a crucial role in ensuring that these values are honoured in every aspect of the school’s development.</p><p>Mary Glowrey Primary School will be one of five parish schools, working together as part of a vibrant parish community. Our school will be an expression of faith in action, with Jesus at the centre, integrated as an extension of the existing faith community. We are dedicated to maintaining our Catholic ethos and clearly declaring our mission as education founded in the love and way of Jesus Christ.</p><p>MACS is looking for a Principal who will actively engage with the community and grow school enrolments under their leadership.</p><p> </p><p><strong>MANDATORY SELECTION CRITERIA</strong></p><ul><li>Is an active member in good standing of a Catholic Church community, including Sunday attendance ( inclusive of Saturday vigil).</li><li>Demonstrated unwavering commitment to the safety and wellbeing of students, families, and staff members in schools, in line with current community safety standards and expectations.</li><li>Demonstrated ability in instructional leadership, including determining and implementing evidence-based learning and teaching programs and school curriculum.</li><li>Shows a strong commitment to fostering a workplace that prioritises health, safety and wellbeing for all staff, students, and those we interact with, including parents, carers, visitors, community members, contractors, and clergy.</li><li>Shows a strong commercial focus with proven results in enrolment growth, financial stability, and a commitment to risk mitigation.</li><li>Demonstrated understanding and enactment of the legislative and systemic compliance requirements applicable to all Catholic schools.</li><li>Ability to demonstrate strong faith leadership informed by the Church’s teaching and local mission, and the animation of the school community’s faith journey effectively.</li><li>Proven Senior/Executive leadership experience within schools/education environment.</li><li>Proven ability to effectively manage resources including workplans aligned with strategic outcomes.</li><li>Exceptional interpersonal skills that enable working effectively and building connections with all members of the school, MACS office, parish, broader church, educational system, other schools, and educational authorities.</li><li>Sets high standards for self and others in the leadership of pastoral care and the provision of an engaging education that provides multiple pathways and options for positive outcomes for young people.</li><li>A commitment to innovation and improvement across all aspects of achieving educational outcomes.</li><li>Strong coaching and leadership skills to enable team growth and development that supports continuous learning.</li></ul><p><strong>HOW TO APPLY</strong></p><p>Click <a href="https://cem.elmotalent.com.au/careers/careers/job/view/887" rel="nofollow">APPLY </a>to submit your application.</p><p>If you have any queries about this role, they can be directed to our team by email <a href="mailto:principalappointments&#64;macs.vic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">principalappointments&#64;macs.vic.edu.au</a>.</p><p>All applicants are required to submit a copy of:</p><ol><li>Scanned and certified evidence of Victorian Institute of Teaching registration (including current Criminal Record Check).</li><li>Scanned and certified evidence of tertiary and further education qualifications, including accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school as referred to in your resume.</li><li>Current Resume.</li><li>Cover letter addressing the Mandatory Selection Criteria limited to three pages.</li><li>Names and contact details of  three referees including the Catholic Priest of the Parish you attend. (These referees will be required to make relevant verbal responses regarding the applicant’s capacity to meet the specific local selection criteria).</li><li>Certified Statements of Service from current and previous employers are required from applicants who are currently not employed in Victorian Catholic education.</li></ol><p><strong>Role commences:</strong> January 2025</p><p>Note: MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.
