Take the next step in your career and inspire the minds of tomorrow with us. </p><p><strong>Permanent full-time positions commencing Term 1, 2025. </strong></p><p>You will have the ability to challenge and engage students in the theoretical component of the design process, while offering a diverse and complementary range of practical experiences to develop their knowledge and understanding of contemporary and advancing technologies.</p><p>With a thorough knowledge of the range of tools, materials and techniques in the design process, you will be someone who strives on providing the best possible teaching practices and learning experiences across subjects such as Technology, Industrial Technology - Timber, Industrial Technology - Engineering and Engineering Studies (Stage 6).</p><p>To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate you satisfy all of the following essential selection criteria:</p><p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p><ul><li>A working understanding of, and commitment to the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition.</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice.</li><li>Qualified to teach Technology Courses (Stage 4 to Stage 6), with a focus on Industrial Technology - Engineering and/or Industrial Technology - Timber with NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW.</li><li>Demonstrated excellence as a classroom practitioner.</li><li>Demonstrates effective classroom management through clear expectations, proactive behaviour strategies, and fostering a positive learning environment.</li><li>Demonstrated success in differentiation of curriculum.</li><li>Effectively incorporates ICT into teaching, learning, and assessment to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable Criteria</strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience in delivering the Industrial Technology – Engineering (Stage 5) and Engineering Studies (Stage 6) and/or VET Construction courses.</li></ul><p><strong>How to apply</strong></p><p>To express your interest in joining our highly motivated professional staff, apply via the online ‘Career Application’ available on our website <a href="https://www.spc.nsw.edu.au/working-spc/" rel="nofollow">https://www.spc.nsw.edu.au/working-spc/</a></p><p>Your application should consist of:</p><p><strong>1.Cover letter</strong> (maximum two pages) that highlights your claim for the role and demonstrates your suitability by addressing the following two target questions:</p><p><strong>(a)</strong> What motivates you to want to become a teacher with St Patrick’s College, Strathfield?</p><p><strong>(b)</strong> How would you use your expertise to enrich the learning of our students?</p><p><strong>2.Current CV</strong> (maximum five pages) outlining your qualifications, experience and skills together with the contact information for three (3) referees (at least two must be from your current employer).</p><p><i>All applications should be addressed to The Principal (MS Word and PDF attachments are preferred).</i></p><p>A working understanding of, and a commitment to the Catholic ethos of a school in the Edmund Rice tradition, a valid Working with Children clearance and participation in the co-curricular program, are essential conditions of employment.</p><p>Evidence of a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance will be required prior to employment.</p><p>St Patrick’s College is a child safe and child-centred organisation, committed to the protection of children and has zero-tolerance of any abuse of children.
