<p><strong>Location:</strong> Sporting venues, schools, CBD office and WFH<br><strong>Commencement Date:</strong> Immediate start or by negotiation&nbsp;<br><strong>Closing Date:</strong> Sunday, 4 August 2024<br><strong>Capacity:</strong> Full-time, permanent<br><br><strong>About the Role</strong><br><br>The Manager: Pre to Post Sport is responsible for delivering the Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) Pre to Post Sport Plan across all SCS. The role is essential in driving SCS' vision of student opportunity and sporting success, integrity of programs and connections to the community.&nbsp;<br><br>As a leader of a large team, this position serves schools by enabling, advocating, challenging, and negotiating positive outcomes for all students to participate in physical activity and access sport pathways.&nbsp;<br><br>The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for, but not limited to:</p><ul><li>planning, developing and ensuring the delivery of an engaging, safe and inclusive Pre to Post Sports Strategy and related programs suitable for all students across the system</li><li>actively promoting sport pathways and program with key messaging</li><li>continuously improving programs and opportunities for student engagement and participation in sport at all levels of ability and performance</li><li>building individual and collective capability of a multifaceted and credentialled workforce of employees, contractors and volunteers to uplift system performance and student engagement</li><li>leading, identifying and embedding solutions that facilitate pathways and programs within, between and across schools and school communities to benefit students</li><li>collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to research, design and deliver projects in response to organisational needs</li><li>sourcing and managing external sporting partnerships and opportunities for enhanced student participation and pathways development</li><li>overseeing the effective operations of system-wide sport through a shared administration, data, analytics and integration platform</li><li>any other duties as directed from time to time.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Work for Sydney Catholic Schools</strong><br><br>In joining SCS, you will be part of the largest Catholic education community in NSW, with a unified vision and shared resources, encompassing over 145 schools and over 74,000 students. We focus on enabling a quality preschool to post-school learning journey for every child, supported by a team of dedicated educators and caregivers.<br><br>In addition, we offer:</p><ul><li>a competitive annual salary plus superannuation</li><li>salary packaging of up to $15,900 annually</li><li>up to 25% discount on school fees for parents of SCS students</li><li>ongoing training and development opportunities</li><li>discounts on gym classes and memberships, activewear, healthy meals, and wellbeing products</li><li>ex-gratia leave between Christmas and New Year</li><li>generous Employee Referral Program.</li></ul><p><strong>About You</strong><br><br>We are seeking a professional candidate with the following experience, skills and knowledge:</p><ul><li>NESA recognised tertiary qualification in Education, Teaching, Sports Administration or other relevant field</li><li>a minimum 10 years of teaching experience in a school, with at least 5 years' experience in middle leadership roles in education</li><li>experience as a Sports Coach, Sports Administrator, or other similar role</li><li>extensive understanding of school sport operations and student sport pathways at local, regional, state and national level</li><li>experience in prioritising multiple and competing demands, troubleshooting problems, managing large and complex budgets, and implementing risk minimisation/management strategies in the usual course of work</li><li>demonstrated success in leading large scale programs and initiatives to achieve desired outcomes</li><li>highly skilled leader of people working at all levels to deliver common goals</li><li>a current driver's licence and access to a car</li><li>a practising Catholic with demonstrated evidence of ongoing commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church and engagement in the life of a Catholic faith community such as a parish or an established community within the Catholic Church, as an expression of their relationship with Jesus Christ.</li></ul><p>Desirable:</p><ul><li>postgraduate qualification in Education, Teaching or Leadership</li><li>sport coaching/referee credentials</li><li>a valid First Aid and CPR qualification</li><li>knowledge of Catholic Systemic Schools/Systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Application process</strong><br><br>To apply for this position please click the APPLY button and follow the prompts.
