<p><strong>Location: </strong>Bede Polding College - South Windsor</p><p><strong>Secondary Mathematics Teacher - Permanent Full Time Start Term 1 2025</strong></p><p>Bede Polding College is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate Secondary Mathematics Teacher to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.</p><p>Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.</p><p><strong>Key focus areas</strong></p><p>The Secondary Mathematics Teacher will fit the following criteria:</p><p>-Strong knowledge base of the subject’s content, how mathematics is learned, what affects students’ opportunities to learn mathematics and how the learning of mathematics can be enhanced.</p><p>-Make a positive difference to the learning outcomes of the students taught.</p><p>-Sensitive and responsive to all aspects of the context in which they teach including use of technology and other resources, teaching practices and ways in which assessment and feedback is provided to students.</p><p>-Commitment to the continual improvement of teaching practice and take opportunities for personal professional development.</p><p>-Work creatively and constructively within a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school and set high, achievable goals for self and students.</p><p>-Exhibit personal approaches characterised by caring and respect for others.</p><p>The interview process may take place prior to the closing date of 9th August 2024 @ 9.00am.</p><p><strong>The Organisation</strong></p><p>Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese provides quality learning and teaching in a faith-centred environment across 80 primary and secondary schools and within early learning and out of school hours care centres in Western Sydney.&nbsp;</p><p>This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CSPD Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working With Students and Children.</p><p>CSPD promotes the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds.
