St Vincent’s College is seeking a highly motivated and passionate TAS Teacher.

<p><strong>ST VINCENT’S COLLEGE</strong></p><p><strong>TAS TEACHER</strong></p><p><strong>Position to start Term 4, 2024</strong></p><p><strong>Closing Date for Applications: 14th August, 2024</strong></p><p>St Vincent’s College is seeking to appoint a professional and enthusiastic teacher qualified to teach TAS subjects across Years 7 to 12 to fill a<strong> part time (0.7 FTE, with potential for full time) </strong>Maternity Leave position from the beginning of Term 4 (Monday 14th October 2024) until the end of 2025. This position would suit a new graduate willing to learn or an experienced teacher.  The TAS Department is willing to work flexibly with applicants and this position is an excellent opportunity to begin, develop or resume a career in TAS teaching.</p><p>Ability to teach Technology Mandatory is essential. </p><p>Ability to teach or experience in Stage 5 TAS Electives of Design and Technology, Textiles Technology and/or Food Technology is required. </p><p>Experience or willingness to teach a Stage 6 courses in Textiles and Design and/or Design and Technology and/or Food Technology is desirable.</p><p>The successful applicant will have a commitment to education and to the discipline of Technology. They will demonstrate pleasure in classroom teaching of students across a range of ability levels and the ability to work cooperatively with a committed and enthusiastic department. We are seeking a teacher willing to learn and grow alongside their students and colleagues.</p><p><strong>Key position criteria</strong></p><ul><li>Qualifications for and/or experience as a classroom teacher TAS teacher.</li><li>Specialist skills in one or more Stage 5 TAS elective areas from Textiles Technology, Food Technology and Design and Technology.</li><li>Experience and/or willingness to undertake Stage 6 Teaching in one of these courses.</li><li>Intelligent understanding of the connection between emotional and educational growth and willingness to support shared principles and practices in maintaining safe, inclusive and productive learning environments.</li><li>Experience and or willingness to guide students towards personal, social and technological competence in using Digital Technologies.</li><li>Collaborative teaching and work practices. Strong communication skills, effective record keeping and ability to manage workflow and demands.</li><li>An ongoing commitment to personal and professional growth.</li></ul><p><i>St Vincent’s College is an equal opportunity employer.
