Kindergarten to Year 6 serving the Lumen Christi Pastoral Region, Fairy Meadow with an enrolment of approximately 368 students.

<p><strong>Location:</strong> Good Samaritan Catholic Primary School, Fairy Meadow</p><p>A temporary full time position commencing 5 September 2024 until 1 November 2024</p><p>This position consists of teaching a small class of K-2 students who are on the autistic spectrum. The successful applicant would be responsible for creating a welcoming, safe and supportive environment conducive to meeting the particular learning needs of the students enrolled in the support setting.</p><p>ESSENTIAL CRITERIA</p><ul><li>be an active and committed Catholic or demonstrate a willingness to support the ethos of the Catholic school</li><li>demonstrate an ability to provide appropriate intervention to meet the learning needs of students on the autistic spectrum</li><li>demonstrate well-developed interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with all support staff, teachers in regular classes&nbsp;parent(s)/carer(s) and external agencies and the wider community</li><li>demonstrate an understanding of positive behaviour approaches and an ability to develop and maintain a positive, innovative approach to support students with challenging behaviours</li><li>show an ability to develop, implement and monitor quality personalised learning plans, including quality literacy and numeracy practices, that will enhance students’ ability to access the general curriculum.</li></ul><p>The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:</p><ul><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li><li>Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Strong organisational skills.</li></ul><p>QUALIFICATIONS</p><ul><li>Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.</li><li>The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.</li></ul><p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p><p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p><p>POSITION APPLICATION&nbsp;</p><p>Applicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (equivalent to 2-3 pages) and submit a short CV (2-3 pages).</p><p>To submit your Application please select the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of this advertisement.</p><p><strong>Closing date: 12 August 2024 at 5pm</strong></p>
