<p><strong>Monte Sant&#39; Angelo Mercy College is an independent school for girls in years 7 - 12. Established in 1875 by the Sisters of Mercy, Monte has a proud tradition of commitment to the Catholic faith, academic achievement and cultural endeavour. Heritage buildings and landscaped grounds provide an attractive educational environment.</strong></p><p>An excellent part time opportunity, working two days per week (0.4 FTE), has become available for a suitably qualified <strong>Philanthropy Ambassador</strong> to join the College. The Philanthropy Ambassador will cultivate a profile amongst the College community and by regularly attending events and functions, will be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with current and prospective donors. The Philanthropy Ambassador is responsible for the College&#39;s profile and fostering ongoing relationships within the College and broader community. Responsible for implementing a sustainable strategy to maximise future income potential and support for Foundation initiatives, the Philanthropy Ambassador is a key relationship builder for the College.</p><p>Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Strengthen relationships with existing donors and broader College community by regularly attending College events and building a profile that assists in highlighting the role and impact of the College Foundation</li><li>Tailoring and cultivating events, both formal and informal with appropriate College representatives and members of our community</li><li>Work in collaboration with the Director Development and Community Relations to assist in the management of the fundraising activities of the College</li><li>Managing current and prospective donor relationships and programs</li></ul><p>The ideal candidate will be motivated and proactive, possessing excellent communication skills and be capable of establishing and maintaining effective relationships in the College community and broader community. </p><p>Key knowledge, skills and abilities:</p><ul><li>Relevant tertiary qualifications including degree or diploma in a related field</li><li>Experience in philanthropy/foundation operation or equivalent leadership experience</li><li>Possess skills and capabilities to approach high net worth individuals and relevant organisations to present philanthropic opportunities</li><li>Proven results in fundraising initiatives</li><li>High level of initiative and strong communication and organisational skills</li></ul><p>This is a part-time position based around a 38 hour week however a key part of this role includes attendance at out of hours events and meetings and flexibility will be given in relation to working hours in order to attend these events.</p><p>For more information and to apply, please visit the Monte website, click on &#34;About Monte&#34; and then &#34;Working at Monte&#34; </p><p><strong>Applications close 15 August 2024</strong></p><p><strong>www.monte.nsw.edu.au </strong></p><p><i>The successful applicant must be willing to support the Catholic ethos of the College and provide a valid Working with Children Check prior to commencement.</i></p>
