The successful candidate will be organised and hard-working and will have excellent interpersonal skills. They must also have a comprehensive knowledge of the High school English subject; junior and senior marking experience is valued, and the ability to teach VCE is favourable.

They must also have a comprehensive knowledge of the High school English subject; junior and senior marking experience is valued, and the ability to teach VCE is favourable.</p><p><strong>KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:</strong><br />•    Provide teaching and learning experiences for students which are based on a sound understanding of pedagogy. <br />•    Differentiate the curriculum for individual needs.<br />•    Utilise a variety of technologies to underpin sound pedagogical practices.<br />•    Utilise authentic assessment.<br />•    Embed sound learning theory.<br />•    Meet the aims, objectives and outcomes of the curriculum.<br />•    Develop and maintain collegial relationships within the school. <br />•    Work collaboratively with the parents and mentors to ensure the holistic development of each child. <br />•    Set and evaluate assessments, drive curriculum development in collaboration with staff.<br />•    Keep accurate records and registers of the teaching and learning process, including Unit plans and programs, student assessment records, registers of student attendance.<br />•    Contribute to co-curricular activities such as lunchtime Clubs. <br />•    Care for the classroom in which you teach and ensure that the classroom is neat, well-ordered, attractively decorated and conducive to learning. <br />•    Be involved in excursions, camps and trips (some of which may be conducted outside of school hours). <br />•    Attend staff development days and other professional development sessions that may take place after school throughout the term. <br />•    Attend Key Parent Functions and any other major school functions throughout the year.</p><p> </p>
