St Joseph's College is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to join our committed and supportive community in the role of Deputy Principal - Learning & Teaching.

<p>Founded in the Mercy tradition in 1906, St Joseph’s College has a long history in achieving excellence in education. Located in the heart of Mildura, the modern and forward thinking College of today operates its wide-ranging and robust curriculum from three main campuses, and is significant in providing outstanding educational opportunities for students in years 7 to 12 within the Sunraysia area.</p><p>St Joseph&#39;s College is a Child Safe school, an equal opportunity employer committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.</p><p><strong>The Position</strong></p><p>The Deputy Principal – Learning &amp; Teaching works collaboratively with the Principal, the Senior Leadership Team and College staff to ensure the highest standards of professional excellence and development, in areas ranging from staffing, mentoring, professional learning, learning and teaching and leadership.</p><p>The successful applicant will exhibit the highest levels of professional standards and will be appointed for an initial five years, commencing January 2025.</p><p><strong>We are seeking a person who has:</strong></p><ul><li>A deep commitment to the Catholic faith tradition.</li><li>A willingness to be open and ready to embrace the Mercy charism of the College ethos and ideals of Catholic or faith-based schools.</li><li>Expertise in contemporary educational approaches, with a capacity to lead, staff in a relational manner that upholds high expectations, fosters continuous growth, and champions excellence in learning and teaching.</li><li>A demonstrated ability to develop and lead a learning environment that enables the pursuit of excellence, including planning, implementation and evaluation.</li><li>A capacity to use strategic thinking and planning to drive change and improvement initiatives to enhance teaching and learning practices.</li></ul><p><strong>Applications</strong></p><p>Applications to be submitted by <strong>9am, 21 August 2024</strong>.
