The school is a single-stream co-educational school from Kindergarten to Year 6. The students come from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, with approximately 80% of our community from language backgrounds other than English. Our school is part of the system of schools within the Archdiocese of Sydney and has a proud tradition of educational excellence. Not required to work in school holidays</li> <li>salary packaging of up to $15,900 annually</li> <li>up to 25% discount on school fees for parents of SCS students</li> <li>ongoing training and development opportunities</li> <li>discounts on gym classes and memberships, activewear, healthy meals, and wellbeing products</li> <li>generous Employee Referral Program.</li> </ul> <p><br /><strong>About You</strong><br /> <br />As a <strong>Diverse Learning Teacher</strong>, you work to ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy.<br /> <br />To excel in this role, you will be able to:<br /> </p> <ul> <li>create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students</li> <li>demonstrate sound knowledge in developing a K-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies</li> <li>utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress</li> <li>form relationships with all learners, parents, teachers and various external agencies to support students to meet their potential</li> <li>lead the implementation, support and alignment of the school's NCCD processes including the ability to maintain ongoing and accurate documentation of actions and outcomes</li> <li>collaborate with teachers to meet NCCD and differentiation requirements to cater for the diverse learning needs of students</li> <li>initiate and implement intervention strategies for literacy and numeracy with a specific focus on high-quality intervention</li> <li>support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students</li> <li>integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.</li> </ul> <p>You will have attained:<br /> </p> <ul> <li>a tertiary qualification in Education</li> <li>a postgraduate qualification in Inclusive/Special Education (desirable)</li> <li>previous experience working in a diverse learning role in an educational setting</li> <li>eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</li> <li>Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per <a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools">Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead</a>.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Application Process</strong><br /> <br />Please click on the 'Apply' button and follow the steps to submit your application.
