<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>We are looking for someone with qualifications in horticulture or grounds management and substantial experience in these fields, ideally within a school setting. You should be a good communicator and organiser, adept at connecting with people, passionate about the environment, and dedicated to hard work.</p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>The successful applicant will have demonstrated competence as a maintenance assistant, gardener, tradesperson or trade assistant or experience in a similar role, as well as:</p><p>Key requirements include:</p><ul><li>Current Working with Children Check</li><li>Current National Police Record Check (Victoria Police)</li><li>Current Victorian Drivers Licence (Light Rigid Licence preferred)</li><li>Strong understanding of horticultural practices (plant identification, nutrition, pest &amp; disease management, turf maintenance)</li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Proficient in using and maintaining hand tools and machinery</li><li>Maintaining school gardens to high standards</li><li>Capable of working both independently and as part of a team</li><li>Proficient in computer use, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li></ul>
