<p><strong>Location:</strong>&nbsp;Manuka, Canberra ACT&nbsp;<br><strong>Employment Type:&nbsp;</strong>Full-Time or Part-Time, Ongoing<br><strong>Salary Range:&nbsp;</strong>$109,560 to $117,990 plus superannuation (based on skills and experience)<br><strong>Start Date:</strong>&nbsp;Immediate / Flexible<br><strong>Closing Date:</strong>&nbsp;11.55 pm, Sunday 11 August 2024&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>About Us&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) plays an integral role in education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Schools and nine Early Learning&nbsp;Centres&nbsp;(ELCs).&nbsp;</p><p>The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services to the CECG system of Schools and ELCs. To assist them in this work, school communities will develop their cultural responsivity and ensure that cultural alignment exists. Communication with Aboriginal families and forming partnerships with local Aboriginal organisations and Elders is essential.</p><p><strong>Benefits and Opportunities</strong></p><ul><li>Positive and collaborative workplace culture&nbsp;</li><li>Permanent contract&nbsp;</li><li>Attractive remuneration package&nbsp;</li><li>Access to salary packaging, including novated leasing&nbsp;</li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption)&nbsp;</li><li>Up to 14 weeks paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave)&nbsp;</li><li>Support for professional development and study opportunities&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide support to Principals and school staff in collaboration with other CE officers by providing advice and support on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education including cultural competency; community protocols; professional development for all school staff including Aboriginal Education Workers (AEWs).</li><li>Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development in line with the Science of Learning.</li><li>Develop and implement Cultural Competency Programs (CCP) for all Catholic Education School Staff &amp; CECG staff which will have a direct impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students.</li><li>Encourage participation in school and community events that acknowledge and celebrate Aboriginal people.</li><li>Coordinate and promote major Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander celebrations/events including coordination of Sorry Day, NAIDOC week activities, NAIDOC awards, NAIDOC Mass, and Reconciliation Week.
