<p><strong>Location:</strong> Catholic Education Office, Wollongong</p><p>The Director of Schools, Diocese of Wollongong, invites applications from diligent and experienced fee collection professionals for the position of School Fees Liaison Officer, working within the Finance, Facilities and Planning (FFP) team.</p><p><strong>WHY WORK FOR CATHOLIC EDUCATION IN THE DIOCESE OF WOLLONGONG (CEDoW)</strong></p><p>We provide our team with:</p><ul><li>Excellent professional &amp; development programs, tailored to your needs</li><li>An environment that encourages innovation and collaboration through education</li><li>A platform to contribute to the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community</li><li>Flexible Working Opportunities</li><li>Competitive Remuneration</li><li>Salary Packaging</li></ul><p><strong>ABOUT THE ROLE</strong></p><p>The Finance, Facilities and Planning team works directly with the full range of stakeholders across CEDoW to deliver both a best practice finance and procurement service and to ensure our physical locations, facilities and buildings provide an innovative and fit-for-purpose environment that enables great learning and student outcomes across our 38 schools.</p><p>Reporting to the Team Leader – School Finance and Administrative Support, this position supports the fee management processes across the system of schools by proactively identifying and liaising with families in financial hardship and ensuring best practice in the implementation of credit management strategies.</p><p>Specific areas of focus include:</p><ul><li>Employing processes that aim to ensure justice and equity is delivered across the Diocese in matters related to Fee management</li><li>Delivering customer-focussed execution of Fee Collection and Fee Concession approaches with families across the Diocese</li><li>Supporting Principals and school staff to ensure that school fee management activities are conducted within Diocesan policies and procedures</li></ul><p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p><p>To achieve success in the role, the successful candidate will be someone with:</p><ul><li>A Commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li><li>Cert IV in Credit Management / Business Administration (Finance)</li><li>Extensive (5+ years) experience in a business/education environment focussed on debt collection/credit management</li><li>Skills in liaising with families and schools in case management situations providing a customer focused fee collection and fee concession process</li><li>Ability to assess debtors’ financial position and credit capacity</li><li>Exceptional organisational and time management skills</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and engender trust</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team</li><li>Knowledge of schools’ finance and administration packages (desirable)</li><li>Experience using customer relationship management applications (desirable)</li></ul><p><strong>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</strong></p><p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.</p><p><strong>POSITION APPLICATION</strong></p><p>Applicants are to complete an online application which asks to briefly address the essential criteria (the dot points in the ‘ABOUT YOU’ section of this position advertisement).
