<p>St Martins Lutheran College is a close-knit co-educational school community of 785 students from Reception to Year 12. Situated in the beautiful city of Mount Gambier, South Australia, the College has served the community for over 40 years. The St Martins community is founded on positive relationships based on care and compassion for self and others. Students are encouraged to nurture their strengths and explore ideas using creative and critical thinking to help them develop lifelong learning skills.</p><p>Reporting to the Deputy Principal (R – 12), the Head of Learning, Teaching &amp; Innovation is responsible for advancing student achievement and enriching the quality of learning and teaching throughout the College. A pivotal member of the College&#39;s Executive team, the Head of Learning, Teaching &amp; Innovation drives the implementation of key components of the College’s Strategic Plan.</p><p>The Head of Learning, Teaching &amp; Innovation leads initiatives to cultivate an innovative culture, implement best practices, and ensure teaching methodologies are grounded in evidence-based approaches, across R-12. Working in partnership with the College’s Senior and Middle Leadership Teams, the Head of Learning Teaching &amp; Innovation provides professional leadership and guidance in relation to the design, implementation and review of a whole-of-college pedagogical and curriculum framework that nurtures a collaborative culture of learning, inquiry, engagement, and the pursuit of excellence.</p><p>The successful candidate:</p><ul><li>Identifies, advocates for and facilitates opportunities for school improvement and innovation in curriculum and pedagogy</li><li>Leads the design, implementation and assessment of practices, protocols, strategies and tools to enhance learning experiences for all</li><li>Supports, works closely with, and builds capacity in staff across the entire school</li><li>Is supportive of the values lived out in a Christian community.</li></ul><p>Commencing in January 2025, this role is offered as a five-year contract with a 0.2FTE teaching load. Applicants must be qualified teachers eligible to teach in South Australia and preferably have executive-level experience. </p><p>All staff at St Martins Lutheran College actively uphold and promote the Christian ethos and values that form the foundation of the College’s purpose.
