<p><strong>Location:</strong>&nbsp;Manuka, Canberra ACT&nbsp;<br><strong>Employment Type:&nbsp;</strong>Full-Time or Part-Time, Temporary until December 2024<br><strong>Salary Range:&nbsp;</strong>$109,560 to $117,990 plus superannuation (based on skills and experience), Pro-rata for the employment period<br><strong>Start Date:</strong>&nbsp;Immediate&nbsp;<br><strong>Closing Date:</strong>&nbsp;11.55 pm, Monday 29 July 2024&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>About Us&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) plays an integral role in education in the ACT and NSW, operating 56 Schools and nine Early Learning&nbsp;Centres&nbsp;(ELCs).&nbsp;</p><p>The Catholic Education Office (CEO) provides corporate services to the CECG system of Schools and ELCs. The School Support Officer is responsible for providing expert knowledge to school administration and teaching staff across Archdiocesan schools through the delivery of structured training programs, school visits and help desk support. The School Support Officer also contributes to CEO Service Areas in supporting business requirements (from both a policy and practical perspective) and through help desk support and training.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Benefits and Opportunities</strong></p><ul><li>Positive and collaborative workplace culture&nbsp;</li><li>Access to salary packaging, including novated leasing&nbsp;</li><li>Support for professional development and study opportunities<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Maintain operational stability of the CEO’s School Information System (SIS) through:<ul><li>Prompt action of incidents and requests.</li><li>Appropriate escalation, as required.</li></ul></li><li>Provide support to schools and CEO Service Areas, including:<ul><li>Direct support and assistance with SIS products.</li><li>Personal and online communication and collaboration.</li></ul></li><li>Liaise with schools and CEO Service Areas to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of school and student data to meet existing business compliance requirements.</li><li>Present in-person and through webinar training sessions.</li><li>Plan and prepare communications from CEO Service Areas for known recurring activities, including provision of end-user documentation.</li><li>Manage Service Desk incident and request tickets relating to the SIS products, including:<ul><li>Managing service desk and Compass Support training material integration into system;</li><li>Contributing towards performance and issue resolution analysis, and consulting with Compass Support team lead on implementing efficiency and effectiveness improvements within Compass Support team;</li><li>Resolution of all tickets, coordinating with other parties (internal and external), as required;</li><li>Meeting the standards specified within relevant Service Level Agreements and against set quality and efficiency targets.</li></ul></li><li>Create, publish and maintain end-user support and training material including:<ul><li>User guides (for in-person, webinar and self-learn training programs);</li><li>Reports and other material, as identified.</li></ul></li><li>Support and contribute to engagements related to the SIS products, including:<ul><li>Internally with schools, Service Areas, and governance/working groups.</li><li>Externally with CEnet and third-party vendors.</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>University degree in Information Technology and/or Education, or equivalent work experience is desirable.</li><li>Working with Children’s registrations in NSW and ACT (WWCC and WWVP)</li><li>Driver's License</li></ul><p><strong>Selection Criteria</strong></p><ol><li>Demonstrated skills in the use of SIS products and other corporate products, including the Microsoft Office suite.</li><li>Technical experience and skills in implementation and integration of SIS platforms, with ability to resolve complex technical issues.</li><li>Proven experience providing Service Desk support and advising people with varying skills on issues with SIS (and related) products.</li><li>Proven experience in the development and provision of training to groups or one on one in SIS products and/or other computer-based systems.</li><li>Well-developed interpersonal skills, good written and oral communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to promote a strong client service focus.</li></ol><p><i>Please refer to the position description for in-depth details regarding the criteria and skill set required.</i>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.&nbsp;</li><li>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Applicants must submit a cover letter addressing the Skills, Attributes and Experience section in the position description and a current resume.&nbsp;</p><p>For further information about the role and Catholic Education Archdiocese of Canberra &amp; Goulburn, please visit the&nbsp;<a href="https://cg.catholic.edu.au/">website</a>&nbsp;and position description.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>If you have any questions about the recruitment process, contact Rebecca Radanovich, People &amp; Culture Officer, on 0475136048 or via email at&nbsp;<a href="mailto:rebecca.radanovich@cg.catholic.edu.au">rebecca.radanovich@cg.catholic.edu.au</a>.&nbsp;</p><p>#S-DN&nbsp;</p><p><br><br>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;<a href="https://careers.cg.catholic.edu.au/cw/en/PositionDescriptionDocument/503409/school-support-officer">Applicant Information Pack</a></p>
