<p>The Catholic Schools Office (CSO) is currently seeking a permanent full time&nbsp;Education Officer - Sport &amp; Road Safety to join the team.<br><br>The Catholic Schools Office is responsible for the leadership, operation, and management of systemic schools within the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.<br>We educate over 21,000 students across 44 primary schools, 11 secondary schools, one K-12 school, one flexible learning centre, and one special school.<br>Our mission is to provide high-quality education grounded in Catholic values and traditions.<br><br><br><br><a href="https://diocesemn.azurewebsites.net/media/7066/position-description_-_cso_-_education_officer_-_sport_road_safety.pdf"><strong>POSITION DESCRIPTION</strong></a><br><br>The Education Officer – Sport/Road Safety aims to:<br>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Implement NESA syllabus documents and directives in relation to sport and physical activity<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate &amp; facilitate primary and secondary school diocesan sporting pathway trials<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Manage and organise inter-diocesan primary and secondary trials/carnivals<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Manage the CSNSW sport registrations and be an expert on the CSNSW Sports portal<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Implement the Department of Education’s Sport &amp; Physical Activity Safety Guidelines<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure athletes in multiclass events are aware of the opportunities to represent at Diocesan swimming, cross-country and athletics and are informed of the requirements for classification and participation<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Support the Leader of Sport in ongoing development, implementation and oversight of quality sporting programs and learning outcomes<br>&nbsp;</li><li>Provide support and delivery of the Road Safety Education Program and the TfNSW funding agreement<br><br>The Education Officer for Sport/Road Safety works in collaboration with Leader of Sport as well as the Learning &amp; Wellbeing team, SSU, CSO leadership team, principals, teachers, sport coordinators, CSNSW, TfNSW, external sporting groups and facilities to promote the safe and effective implementation of school pathway sport and road safety.</li></ul>
