St Josephine Bakhita Catholic Primary School, Clyde North will open in January 2025. It is anticipated that the opening enrolment will be up to 120 students with a long-term enrolment of 700.

<p>St Josephine Bakhita is a Catholic primary school being built in the new Five Farms estate in Clyde North and is situated 46 kilometres southeast of Melbourne’s Central Business District on the lands of the Bunurong People. The School is currently under construction and located on Wild Goose Way.</p><p>Stage 1 will see the construction of the School administration area, student, and staff amenities, eight learning areas, a multi-purpose area, junior playground, and initial car parking spaces.</p><p> </p><p><strong>About the role</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Classification:</strong> Deputy Principal Level 2 (200-399 students)</li><li><strong>Tenure: </strong>3 years, with a possible second period of appointment</li><li><strong>Start Date:</strong> 28 January 2025</li></ul><p>St Josephine Bakhita Catholic Primary School, is seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to work in partnership with our staff, student and parent community. The role of the Primary Deputy Principal is to support the Principal and Leadership Team in managing the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students at St Josephine Bakhita Catholic Primary School. It will involve working closely with the Principal in enacting the strategic directions of DOSCEL and the strategic deployment of resources, which reflect the following key priorities:</p><ul><li>Enlivening faith education and Catholic identity</li><li>Improved learning outcomes for all students</li><li>Strengthening and development of expert teacher practice, leadership formation and capacity building</li><li>Ongoing commitment to effective and supportive governance.</li></ul><p>We are seeking a suitably qualified applicant with a proven record of leadership and who aspires to principalship. The position of leadership will initially be offered on a fixed-term basis for three years, with opportunity for renewal. It will provide access to Catholic education to families situated in the eastern area of the Parish and will boast vibrant, modern classrooms that will be very well appointed and resourced. Foundation students at the new school will be fortunate to enjoy activity playgrounds and immerse in a new school culture, with passionate and inspiring educators. Each child will have access to the latest technology learning device (iPad or Chromebook) to support their education. </p><p>Our school will be the thirty-ninth Catholic primary school in the Diocese of Sale and the second primary school in the Parish of St Thomas the Apostle. </p><p>The School will open in January 2025.
