<p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>St Patrick’s College has an exciting permanent part time (0.86 - 0.92 FTE) Library Technician opportunity for a passionate, outgoing and resourceful individual with a love for reading and working with young people to join the team in our vibrant and bustling St Mary MacKillop Library. As one of our Library Technicians you will assist with the daily operations of the Library, including assisting students and staff with reader advisory and circulation; research and information retrieval; maintaining the Library’s digital and physical collections; original cataloguing; daily administration and communications; and supporting the literacy and learning initiatives of the College. You will ensure the Library is a welcoming and efficient space for classes, study and access to resources, ensuring the information and education needs of the students and staff at St Patrick’s College are met, whilst building a positive library experience for all. </p><p>Salary will be in accordance with the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2018, with the applicable Classification as Library Technician Level 2. </p><p><strong>About You</strong></p><p>As a friendly, approachable and organised Library Technician you will have:</p><ul><li>An energetic, positive and can-do attitude;</li><li>A passionate and enthusiastic approach in your ability to provide exceptional service to students and staff;</li><li>Qualifications and/or experience in general Library operations, procedures and systems, or the demonstrated ability to learn;</li><li>The ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with a range of people from differing backgrounds;</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency with office equipment, technology and software;</li><li>Strong time management and organisational skills including the ability to succeed in a busy and fast paced environment; and</li><li>An understanding of and ability to contribute to the mission of St Patrick’s College as a Catholic school. </li></ul><p>CET supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing.  The successful candidate will require satisfactory registrations relevant to child safety.   </p><p><strong>About Us</strong></p><p>St Patrick’s is a Catholic co-educational Year 7-12 college of approximately 1,500 students with a strong academic culture that encourages individual students to develop to their full potential through a broad educational experience.  The College is structured into a three school model of learning, incorporating the Middle School (Years 7 and 8), Croagh Patrick (Year 9) and Senior School (Years 10-12).
