Established in 1859, our town is nestled on the banks of Australia’s, and reputedly the world’s, longest creek. Billabong Creek winds its way through Jerilderie and 321 kms of quintessentially Australian landscape. Jerilderie is known in history as the childhood home of Australia’s greatest military strategist, Sir John Monash. The Ned Kelly Gang visited in 1879. Ned wrote his manifesto, The Jerilderie Letter, whilst the gang kept the town’s prominent citizens hostage in the local Hotel. Not a day passes where picturesque Lake Jerilderie is not enjoyed by locals or visitors stretching their legs and breathing in the clean eucalypt scented air. Horgan’s Walk is easy to navigate, peaceful and revitalising. The old worlde Mini Railway located creekside still captures children’s imaginations.

Welcome to Jerilderie, to find out more click here.

Your new role:

The Administration Officer provides comprehensive administrative support for the school by handling reception duties, managing office tasks, overseeing finances, and assisting with annual procedures.

Position Description Attached

What we can offer:

Part-Time, Temporary Position commencing 14th October 2024 - 21st November 2025.

Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm (60 minute unpaid break)

Access to Salary Packaging (Maxxia is our Salary Packaging Provider)

Access to our Employee Assistance Program.

Discounted Bupa Health insurance

Selection Criteria:

High-level interpersonal skills including the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all members of the school community

Demonstrate a capacity to support and work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues

A capacity to maintain confidentiality

Experience in office administration

High-level technology skills including the use of the Google suite of tools and Microsoft Office and comfortable with the use of a variety of other software applications.

Demonstrate sound troubleshooting skills and possess an ability to think logically and laterally to work through problems and to determine the best resolution.

Essential Criteria:

Current Working With Children Check

Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain

Successful Candidate to complete a National Criminal History Check

How to apply:

If you are interested in these positions and would like further information, please contact Rebecca Billing at billingr@ww.catholic.edu.au or 0358861475

Please submit a resume and cover letter addressing the selection criteria.
