This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, caring, and experienced Christian educational leader dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of students, staff, and families.

<p>GCC is a K-12 school of approximately 320 students that has operated in inner western Syndey in Greenacre, NSW for 40 years. Greenacre Christian College is a member of the Melos Group of Schools (<a href="http://www.melos.education/" rel="nofollow">www.melos.education</a>), which consists of 6 Christian Schools operating across NSW. As a result, the position of Principal of Greenacre Christian College provides a unique opportunity to exercise a senior executive role in a collaborative school arrangement which provides experiences not found in stand-alone schools.</p><p>The foundational pillars of GCC are Christ-Centred, Faith in Action, Life-Long Learning and a Nurturing Community. These pillars underpin and shape our approach to the holistic development of young people, the pursuit of academic excellence and the pastoral care of our students in a faith-based environment.</p><p>The successful applicant will report to the Executive Principal and possess:</p><ul><li>a clear understanding of the philosophy of Christian Education and the distinctives of Christian schooling;</li><li>a genuine commitment to the College’s stated values, Christian foundations and philosophy;</li><li>a demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans;</li><li>appropriate academic qualifications and a distinguished teaching record;</li><li>significant educational leadership experience;</li><li>competency in the use and understanding of current information technology in common use,</li><li>well-developed time, people management and problem-solving skills;</li><li>knowledge of current educational trends, research, and best practices</li><li>excellent pastoral skills;</li><li>ability to build positive relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider community</li><li>well developed communication and interpersonal skills.</li></ul><p>The successful applicant must be a committed Christian and be prepared to work under the ethos of the College.</p>
