The College Council is seeking to appoint a new Head of College as it continues to grow its reputation as a flourishing environment for children and young people. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who is passionate about leadership and working collaboratively to make a difference in the lives of students. The preferred date of commencement is January 2025 or as negotiated.

<p>Located on the north side of Brisbane, Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a Kindy to Year 12, independent, Lutheran school located across two campuses in Everton Park and Everton Hills. The Early Learning Centre (Kindergarten) is located on the Junior Campus.</p><p>The College prides itself on having a welcoming and accepting culture, regardless of faith or ethnicity. The College is a grace-based, Christian educational community that strives to inspire, support and honour the God‑given potential of each student.</p><p>The core values of the community play a vital role in this development and Prince of Peace provides an environment where students are valued as individuals, where they are inspired to learn, and where they develop a spirit of service, both to each other and to the wider community.</p><p>The College has a rich relationship with their local congregation and outreach to the community is illustrated through joint initiatives such as our Christmas Carols, shared engagement with fundraising for Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS), ‘Meals 4 You’ ministry, and College cohort chapel services.</p><p> </p><p><strong>The College Council is seeking to appoint a new Head of College to lead the College as it continues to grow its reputation as a flourishing environment for children and young people to receive a high-quality Christian education.   </strong></p><p><strong>The preferred date of commencement is January 2025 or as negotiated.</strong></p><p> </p><p>This is an outstanding opportunity for a high-performing, motivated and energetic educational leader with a heart for contemporary teaching and learning, a commitment to excellence, and an awareness of the importance of engaging with students, staff, parents, and the wider community to build relationships, maintain momentum and realise the College’s vision.</p><p>The successful applicant will:</p><ul><li>Be an active communicant member of the Lutheran Church of Australia and New Zealand (LCANZ).</li><li>Be <a href="https://www.lutheran.edu.au/school-professionals-2/accreditation/" rel="nofollow">accredited as a leader in Lutheran Schools</a> or be eligible and willing to work towards accreditation.</li><li>Have significant and successful experience in teaching and educational administration.</li><li>Have the capacity for Christian witnessing and servant leadership to further the nurturing of the Christian mission of the school and encourage and develop a caring community.</li><li>Hold or be eligible for teacher registration in Queensland through the Queensland College of Teachers.</li></ul><p> </p>
