The College is seeking to appoint a Technology & Art Technician/Assistant to commence in Term 3, 2024 in an ongoing position. The position is an Education Support, Category B, Level 2.

<p>Roles and Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Prepare for practical Art and Technology classes as per material order/cutting list.</li><li>Create prototypes for student projects in conjunction with teaching staff.</li><li>Maintenance and organisation of Art &amp; Technology rooms</li><li>Ensure sufficient and sanitized PPE (e.g. aprons/safety goggles) for all staff and students working in Art and Technology rooms</li><li>Bi-annual completion of OHS documentation for Art and Technology rooms with KLL’s and Property Manager.</li><li>Safe and competent use of all machinery and equipment.</li><li>Machines, tools and equipment are identified and checked for safe and effective operation as per the DET Use of Machinery in Technology guidelines.</li><li>Ensure Safe Work Procedure documentation is accessible, current and displayed for all machinery.</li><li>Regular assistance in all Technology and Art practical classes from 7-12 as per scheduled timetable issued by the KLL’s.</li><li>Ordering materials and resources for classes in conjunction with the KLL’s.</li></ul><p> </p><p>The successful applicant will have the following:</p><ul><li>Prior experience working in a secondary education sector and or/ Art, Building &amp; Design .</li><li>Proficient and frequent use of tools and machinery</li><li>Proficient use of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.</li><li>Specialised knowledge &amp; experience - use of tools &amp; equipment</li><li>Registrations eg VIT or Working with Children Check</li><li>Current Police Check</li><li>Completion of Safe Use of Machinery for Technology Teaching (Woodwork and Metalwork) or equivalent OHS Training in workshop.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Interested</strong>:</p><p>Please visit  <a href="http://www.sbc.vic.edu.au/about/employment" rel="nofollow">www.sbc.vic.edu.au/about/employment</a> and complete an online application by clicking on the &#39;Apply Now&#39; button.
