We welcome applications from suitable candidates from all diversity groups to support our system of Schools and ELCs in delivering quality education outcomes for the students in our care.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>About the Role&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><p>The Clinical mental health case worker and School Counsellor role provides specialised support to school communities and the School and Family Services team, utilising a clinical mental health perspective to help students flourish and succeed.&nbsp;</p><p>The role provides individual clinical support for complex mental health cases, develops and runs group work, delivers training to students, parents and school staff, and provides administrative and clinical support to the Student Counselling and Welfare Manager.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Benefits and Opportunities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Positive and collaborative workplace culture&nbsp;</li><li>Permanent contract&nbsp;</li><li>Attractive remuneration package&nbsp;</li><li>Access to salary packaging, including novated leasing&nbsp;</li><li>24 weeks of paid parental leave (maternity/adoption)&nbsp;</li><li>Up to 14 weeks paid parental leave (paternity/non-initial primary carer leave)&nbsp;</li><li>Support for professional development and study opportunities&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Provide short term clinical case management for students with Mental Health presentations, to support CECG schools and the School and Family Services teams.&nbsp;</li><li>This role incorporates travel to schools throughout the Archdiocese.</li><li>Facilitate case meetings and case consultations.</li><li>Develop positive working relationships with major stakeholders</li><li>Develop and facilitate group work programs as required.</li><li>Administrative tasks may be required by the line manager.</li><li>Demonstrate Professional and Ethical Practices</li><li>Adhere to the policies and procedures of CECG.</li><li>Engage in CECG professional learning and supervision.</li><li>Ensure professional practice is in alignment with key CECG Policies and Guidelines.</li><li>Maintain membership and related accreditation of an appropriate professional association, as agreed with your line manager.</li><li>Participate in annual goal setting, monitoring of performance and review.</li><li>Provide subject matter expertise at relevant internal meetings, consultations and professional development forums as required.</li><li>Establish collaborative relationships the Family Services team, CECG schools and external stakeholders.</li><li>Contribute to data collection, analysis and related reporting.</li><li>Provide guidance and support for the ongoing development of case management practices and systems in the context of a multi-disciplinary team within CECG School and Family Services.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling with eligibility for APRHA, AASW or ACA and minimum of three years experience.</li><li>Current working with children registrations (WWVP and WWCC).</li><li>Current driver’s licence.</li></ul><p><strong>Selection Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p><ol><li>Experience in providing clinical case management to children and adolescents.</li><li>Experience in developing, facilitating and evaluating group programs.</li><li>An understanding and knowledge of issues affecting young people and current therapeutic approaches to assist wellbeing, supporting recovery and building relationships and resilience.</li><li>Experience in providing short term psychological counselling and therapy for students and support to families.</li><li>Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the capability to liaise effectively with stakeholders, school executive staff, wellbeing teams and pastoral care in order to work collaboratively to address student needs.</li><li>The ability to make appropriate referrals to external agencies for young people as required.</li></ol><p><i>Please refer to the position description for in-depth details regarding the criteria and skill set required.&nbsp;</i><br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Other Eligibility Criteria&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.&nbsp;</li><li>Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Application Process&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Applicants must submit a cover letter addressing the Skills, Attributes and Experience section in the position description and a current resume.&nbsp;</p><p>For further information about the role and Catholic Education Archdiocese of Canberra &amp;
