<p>An opportunity exits for a new Learning Support Officer to join the St Damian&#39;s Primary School team of educational support staff.  The Learning Support Officer (LSO) works within the classroom to support students identified with additional needs. All our  LSO&#39;s work under the direction of the Learning Diversity Leader.  The LSO works collaboratively with the classroom teacher to ensure that  students achieve their full potential.  The LSO&#39;s role is to provide support to enable the students equal access to the curriculum .  </p><p>Ideally this position is for Monday to Friday (22-25 hours per week).  There is room for negotiation with the successful candidate.</p><p> Mandarin Speaking would be an advantage but not necessary. <br /> </p><p>The successful applicant will:</p><ul><li>    have the capacity to enrich and enhance the development of our school culture</li><li>    demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team</li><li>    demonstrate a passion for learning and instill this in the students</li><li>    have some experience in working with students diagnosed with ASD or other diagnosed needs</li><li>    be flexible and open to working with students across the year levels. </li></ul><p>Please email applications addressed to: </p><p>Mrs Rosanna Piccolo,Principal <a href="mailto:principal&#64;sdbundoora.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">principal&#64;sdbundoora.catholic.edu.au</a></p><p><strong>Special Requirements</strong><br />Applicants must have  a commitment to the ethos of Catholic education.</p><p>Please add the names of three referees including mobile contact numbers, one of whom should be the most current Principal/employer if applicable. <br /> </p>
